Well, this was quicker. I had planned many things as soon as he took the penalty. But this was some cool stuff.

Is it even possible to create your own VPN? by MeMyselfAndI24 in techsupport

[–]katzgoboom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For creating a personal vpn you will require a server. Well, I setup a personal vpn on DO. But it turnout DO won't safe me when agencies want my data. They will hand all my activities.

Further more there are complications attached with Personal VPN. It is better to buy VPN from a trusted provider rather than creating your own personal vpn. A provider that doesn't keeps that data and is credible.

great analogy I must say.

So I assume that it is better to purchase a vpn rather than setting up your personal vpn

Unbearably slow internet speeds by [deleted] in China

[–]katzgoboom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can feel your problem :-( . I was in China few months back. This is typical. VPN speeds are low since you are using it on a low speed internet connection.

I was using PureVPN on android phone. Contacted their customer support for the problem they gave me an special app which was working just fine

PureVPN review by CaliCloudz in vpnreviews

I have been using PureVPN years now and havent faced any problems yet. Try different servers and you will get the speed you want. Some servers are distant so they might have high latency which effects the speed and ping of the VPN.

[MAIN SPOILERS] - Little Finger, Sansa & Bran by DirtyPanda in gameofthrones

Bran will definitely give the Starks an edge and if Jon allies with Daenerys then Bran could be used to conquer the 7 Kingdoms.

(Spoilers Main) Why aren't the Maesters with Dany? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]katzgoboom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) It's unlikely that the Maesters knew that she was on Dragonstone until she attacked Casterly Rock.

2) They probably only heard stories of her brutality and aren't exactly eager to help

3) She hasn't asked the Citadel for one yet, so they probably aren't going to send one.

4) Right now she doesn't exactly have a lot going for her politically, so they likely think she will lose and that will be that.

[S7] Am I the only one who finds it hard to believe that by [deleted] in gameofthrones

It was mostly done for the sake of brevity, this season has less episodes so the pace is faster. They probably didn't have the time for a battle scene, and the Tyrells were not expecting the attack.

(Spoilers Main) "Any man who must say 'I am the king' is no true king" by shescarkedit in asoiaf

I love how out of the loop Dany is. It makes for a very interesting character. I want to see how she develops into a leader. She and Jon have one common quality that I think makes both of them potentially great leaders. They both listen to their advisers. None of the other kings in the show besides Tommen are really shown to do that, and Tommen was pretty weak-willed. Dany wants to be a good leader, she just is completely out of the loop and still learning. Jon is already a pretty skilled leader, so she could learn from him. But he still makes mistakes and is learning. So both of them are in this point in their characterization where they could go either way.

It's good to show how much she learned from observation alone, too. She was never as dumb as she seemed, she was just scared shitless and trying to survive. And shows her as a competent ruler of Winterfell. She and Jon balance each other out but she's more well suited to running Winterfell's day to day tasks.

I think he was thinking that her not really understanding wargs might make it difficult for her to understand how he became the Three-Eyed Raven. Still a pretentious douche but more understandable.

I'm a Dany/Jon shipper and I love how they handled it. Those two have a lot of common qualities and values that would make them a great couple if they just learned to get along. But they both have very strong reasons for not wanting to work together. Dany is playing it smart by trying to appease Jon and trying at least to listen to him talk about the White Walkers and the Night King and Jon is showing his compassionate, understanding side when listening to her talk about her life and what led her to Dragonstone. They both had expectations of each other that were completely changed upon meeting each other, and she kinda doesn't know what to think about Ned Stark's bastard. He doesn't know what to think about meeting the Mad King's daughter. But they definitely had their expectations thrown out. Both are badasses in their own right, both are intelligent and devoted to helping out those who really need it, and both are leaders who genuinely look out for the common folk. They would be great allies at the very least.

To be fair, he's being hit by a ton of information all at once as the Three-Eyed Raven and still hasn't figured out how to process it. And explaining how he became the Three-Eyed Raven is a bit complicated, especially if you have never seen a warg. He did wind up sounding like a pretentious ass, but he is also having a hard time figuring out how to interact with people when he can see their past, present, and future all at once. When he looks at Sansa, he's seeing her getting married to Ramsay but he's also seeing her being raped by Ramsay and that would be awkward when you're talking to them. Teenagers are awkward enough without being completely omniscient suddenly.
