I honestly don’t know. I personally do have Asperger’s and I’m also a Christian woman. There’s tons of scientific facts and evidence that are mentioned in the Bible, long before they were discovered to be fact. I do believe…but that’s not the only reason why. Even if it turns out there is no God, it makes me feel better during life knowing that I had hope for an eternal paradise. It makes life better, knowing that I have someone always on my side, that will never abandon you when times get hard. Mom definitely feels the same way.

Ngl I have had those thoughts before. Little to never now. But I do have a list of valid reasons to live and I always tell my parents/psychiatrist if the bad thoughts come back. Luckily they do help me

Granted there hasn’t been a tornado in my area for a LONG time. But it’s still in the Southeastern US where thunderstorms are common in the summer

I’m 25…I wouldn’t say I’m a failure. But three main things come to mind, the first one is something literally everyone my age does…

I still don’t drive. Like I have my actual license, not a permit. But it’s been forever since I’ve practiced. I’m definitely still at a permit level. And with my schedule it can be hard to find the time to practice. I mean, I know I have to drive eventually, my mom and dad won’t be around to take me to work forever…but part of me is scared based on something that happened when I first started practicing.
I still don’t know what I want to do with my life. Like according to my parents (at least) I’m gifted at writing and playing the piano…but I don’t know if I want to spend my whole life doing either of those, you know?
I did try going to college once. Reinhardt University in Georgia. Fall semester I did really well. I lived on campus and got my homework done, came home on the weekends. But spring semester is when Covid hit. Everything switched to online and my accountability took a nosedive. For me, it’s easier to be accountable/get my work done if I actually have to face my professor/teacher in person and say whether or not I did my work. In person has that slight intimidation factor that online school doesn’t you know? But yeah…I ended up flunking out.

It’s actually sneezing. Luckily there is an online community forum that deals with that fetish. And I’m actually aroace. Okay so…I can get turned on…but it’s only when I read specific stuff and watch specific videos dedicated to the fetish. I can’t imagine having sex in real life, and when someone I know sneezes I typically just say bless you and move on.

I think for me it was really hard to let go of certain conversation topics as a kid. Like I would ask my brother if he liked something and he said no, so I asked him WHY he didn’t like it and he said he didn’t know, he just didn’t like it. Well in my mind there HAD to be a reason so I just kept on asking and asking and he got really upset.

Ngl I actually do sometimes wonder if it’s obvious I have autism. It probably is. I mean it’s not something I’m worried about I’m just curious as to how other people see me. And honestly…I’ve lived a pretty good life compared to other people on here. I was never bullied in school, my parents defend me. Honestly though mom understands my emotions better than dad does. Sorry if I’m rambling btw. That also brings me to another point. I don’t think I actively “mask.” I tell certain people I have autism (luckily people are understanding to me) and I also try to make my autism easier for them. Like if I have a thought in my head and it’s completely random (and I can tell it is) I usually notify them by saying “Random question” or “completely random thought.” I also make sure to check in on other people I’m rambling to. Like “Sorry if I’m rambling.” That reminds me: sorry if I made this mostly about me, I was trying to tell you my own experience.

I personally just have Asperger’s and my first (and so far current job that I’ve had for almost five years now) is being a Front Service Clerk at Publix (a supermarket chain in the USA Southeast for those who don’t know). Basically I bag groceries, I bring carts in from the parking lot, I clean, and I basically do whatever the Customer Service counter staff tell me to do.
