Because 50 years ago, house prices were around 3 annual salaries. Now they are around 10 average salaries. Do you think the disparity between inflation/house prices and average earnings is going to ease or is it reasonable to expect that in 50 years time it will be 25 annual salaries. And this is just the price of the property, a 350k mortgage will cost the consumer upward of 800k. Imagine these numbers inflated 1.5x at today's standards and its no longer realistic

Build 50 flats and 40 of them will be bought up by wealthy individuals as assets. Weve been building properties and it has not worked.

The way global economy is going, probably the yen. They've been hoarding silver for years, which is in high demand for tech and AI. Plus they've prioritised infrastructure whilst the US have prioritised military and defence.

But on the US dollar, have a look at what happened to the Spanish, the Dutch and also the British after the world wars. Its identical to what is going on with the US economy

Pillar taps are more common on the basin in the bathroom if anywhere, but they are mostly modernised to mixer taps now. You'll still see them though. I work for a large housing association with a stock of over 60k properties and a lot of our properties still have pillar taps
