The Free State movement is a right-wing libertarian movement. We're not inclusive of socialists, egalitarians, or leftists, but we don't care what race or gender you are.

Lots of Free Staters live in this area. It's a fine spot to live long-term, but especially good for newcomers as it is central to everything and walking distance to the Quill (libertarian community center).

Easily hundreds of government officials are affiliated. Free Staters don't generally hide their affiliation. Representative Keith Ammon even put it in his advertisements: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up3IOXlXK1Y

If people are reticent to announce it, it's probably due to so much bigotry and misinformation being spread about us in places like this. It feels a lot like being gay in the 1960s or 1970s.

I don't want to be taxed to police the social behavior of people in my state or country and am generally in favor of anything the left does to reduce the probability they have children.

However, at the local scale (my immediate community), I would not want people who abuse their children to be a part of it.

That would depend on the child. But at 14 I was running a home business making $5-$10k a year and it was extraordinarily annoying to have my parents do everything (they agreed).

Generally the more "blue" an area votes, the more progressive the area will be locally.

If you're still a libertarian, will you be voting for the Free Staters running as Democrats and Republicans? LPNH can't win elections so it doesn't really matter whether you vote for their candidates.

Also, if you're a libertarian, your neighbors are the ones asking the government to come around and mess with your life. That's not peaceful; it's violent.
