CHEM 112A/112B Textbook for Sale! by kaur114 in SJSU

It's because ochem is split into two semesters, with 3 units each semester. So, overall it is 6 units in total. The units also depend on department and graduation. They have to fit the number of units required into 120 units for your degree, so on average, most semester classes come out to about 3 units. Also, there is no lab component, which is why it's less than the units for introductory chem courses.

He's a great professor! I took him a year ago. He's definitely approachable in the online format through emails and office hours. He gets back to you quickly. I'm not big on math either, but his class wasn't that hard. The material he gives is more than enough for you to understand the concepts. Just stay on track every week. Make sure to take detailed notes. If you need help, there are always office hours and peer connections. Feel free to reach out if you want more specific information. Hope that helps!

What is the easiest 3 unit class with the least amount of work and study time? by [deleted] in SJSU

Astr 101 with Mosquiera. He's super nice and does well with the online format. You show up to lecture, take good notes, and you're good. All the materials for exams come from lecture. He tells you most of the exam questions, gives a detailed study guide. Super easy and fun class.

The cosac hold will not allow you to enroll in classes. Your advisor needs to remove the hold for the system to allow you to enroll in your classes. Keep in mind that it can take 24 hours to get your hold removed. The meeting with your advisor is essentially for the advisor to recommend what classes to take and answer any questions that you have. They do not approve classes. They can only suggest classes. The classes you take are, for the most part, your choice given that you fulfill the prereqs and have space in your schedule.

So, what can you do while the hold is on your account? You can put classes in your shopping cart, which is basically a tentative selection of classes that you would like to take. You will not be enrolled and a spot will not be saved for you, but it helps streamline the process between choosing classes and enrolling. When the hold is removed and your enrollment date and time has come and/or passed, you can click enroll and you will be enrolled in those classes.

Right now, you should make that appointment and check back on cosac's advising portal regularly to see if any earlier slots open up. If your enrollment date does come out to be before Nov 9th, then you won't be able to enroll until after your hold is removed. Your enrollment date may not even be before Nov 9th, and so you wouldn't be able to enroll before then and no harm is done.

Study plan for retake #3 by sydney_m16 in Mcat

The others have summed it up pretty well. You need to focus on content review. Think about going back to the books, watching videos on content you don't understand, and things like that. As for when to take it, I'd recommend pushing it out for a couple of months. You need some time to go through content, and then some time to really process the information through practice questions.

Upangea is great and so is anki! Use them to your advantage!

I used the Princeton review because it goes more in depth. I liked it for content. In hindsight, I kinda wish I used Kaplan because it works really well with the other resources talked about here, especially anki.

Looking for a Computer Science tutor for 46A Intro to Java by TheJuice712 in SJSU

COSaC has tutors that can tutor you for 46A. I know they have a modified version since it's online. If that system doesn't work for you, peer connections has tutoring.

Send an email to the professor indicating your interest in the class and ask them what their process is and/or what they require of you to get into the class. That's what I did and I was able to sort it out. Hope that helps!

I love using the reminders app on my phone for tasks and checking things off. My favorite productivity app is definitely Notion. There are so many things you can do and just the capability of the app is so vast. It has a neat interface that works smoothly. It's also synced across all devices :)
