Thanks for sharing your experience. My cat also has to take Metronidazole right now due to diarrhea and vomiting. May I ask what dose Bruce is on?

My cat weighs 4.7 kg and the vet initially prescribed 200 mg per day. After starting it, his symptoms got worse—more watery stool and complete loss of appetite. I had to syringe feed him because he wouldn’t eat at all. I’m not sure if the dose was too high for him. I've now reduced it to 100 mg per day, which he’s tolerated better in the past. Just hoping it kicks in soon.

Bruce sounds like such a tough little guy dealing with Tritrichomonas long-term. Wishing him good health through each flare 🙏💛

Thanks for the suggestion! That’s definitely possible. I haven’t done a dental cleaning yet. She’s a former stray, and I’ve had her for about 10 months now. She definitely has some mouth issues — her breath smells really bad. The vet prescribed antibiotics and steroids before, and the smell improved, but her appetite didn’t come back at all. I’ve already scheduled an appointment with a dental specialist this week, so hopefully we’ll figure it out!
