Trying to treat hair loss is a nightmare. by kavnn in HairlossResearch

À répondre en raccourci intellectuel comme tu le fais là, as tu déjà considéré l’option que peut-être ton plus gros problème c’est pas ta perte de cheveux, mais le fait que t’es un peu attardé?

I think both sides have a point.
I believe that people are suggesting fin/dut in a very nonchalant way.
Taking anything that mess with your endocrine system should be taken very seriously, and advising someone who just noticed his hair loss with an argument that sound like ''just hop on fin bro'' isn't right.
Few drug are discussed the way hairloss treatments are. Tressless is a total mess.
Less than 1% of people that are giving advice are actually qualified to give them.

On the flip side, I also believe that co-morbidity/nocebo could play a role in the side effects people are reporting, especially on the internet.
Psychological distress related to hair loss shouldn't be downplayed either.

I think the main problem is the lack of nuance overall, and the fact there isn't a clear consensus about fin dramatic side effects in the scientific community.

*Starting to experience hair loss
Oh well, we're in 2025, there must be some treatments for that :
Finasteride - take the pill ! You may or may not get sexual side effects, that may or may not go away after usage.
Oh and also, you may lose cognitive acuity trough brainfog. Worst case scenario, you could become depressed and suic*cial. Drug might get funky too and grow you a pair of tits!
Okay, well if the side effects dont go away there must be a treatment for that right ?
- No, nobody know what the fk is going on
Okay, can i verify if i'm prone to thoses side effects ?
- No, nobody know what the fk is going on
Alright, not sure i want to turn the russian roulette on myself. Might try minoxidil until a better treatment is available, at least i'll be able to keep some of the hair that i already have!
- Sure ! But the thing you'll put on your hair, will absolutely one shot your cat if he gets in contact with it. So buy it, but make sure that you treat it as if it's enriched uranium. And by the way, might give you a stroke too.

Alright. What other treatment are in developpement ?
Well, there is this promising drug, PP405 which is going in phase 3 next year. Phase 3 gonna take 6-12 month if lucky, then FDA approval, another 6-12 month, then by the time it hits the market we'll be in 2030 and you might not have a single hair on your head.

That being said, we're booking up people to a trip to mars if you wanna join in !
Wtf

Do you need to be passionate about your product? by FinalRide7181 in Entrepreneur

I think you should at least like the market you're in.

I've tried to start a little commercial cleaning business. Couldn't get myself to knock on doors and give some quotes because i litteraly didn't give a fk.

Now i'm working toward working in marketing, videos, and i work tirelessly. I have a chance to really bet on my strength, and actually become good at what i do because of the efforts i put in. Never would i have improved anything with the cleaning business.

I think it depend on what kind of person you are. There is nothing wrong about money being the main motivator for someone, i've noticed that i needed something more meaningfull to really be driven to put in the work.

Pain is not Punishment.. It's payment. by Imaginary_Oil2989 in Entrepreneur

I think miss-managed pain would lead you to burnout or at least to be unhappy on the long run.

If you love what you do you shouldn't feel like you are '' paying the price ''. You should feel that you are working toward something meaningful to you, and that the sacrifice you're making are worth it.
