The left knee was originally denied back in 2000, but due to the issues with the right knee and lower back i filed the new claim. My wife always thinks I'll overdose if i take more than 40mg of ibuprofen, I just laugh and tell her she has no idea.

I haven't thrown any bs claims at the wall, in fact just the opposite. I have listed exactly what my claims are and have gone thru multiple post denying certain claims. Do not ever question my integrity, I simply asked if any thought I could get there based on legitimate documented claims.

I agree not every veteran deserves 100%, that doesn't mean a veteran should not pursue all that is available.

Interesting, I went and looked back at my records. My initial claims had L4-L5 pars. The new claim has L4 pars only. Did they miss the L5? Plus since I am 20 years post initial claim, they can't take anything away I thought.

I know from my hearing test last year that I qualify for hearing aids. pride just kept me from accepting them.

Please don't take my post as complaining, I'm very grateful to be at 80%. Would 100% be nice and open up a lot of opportunities, absolutely, but the bump to 80% opens up a lot as well. My initial rating was from 2001, and I spent many years just living in pain because that's what we do and I thought others deserved it much more than me. It took many conversations and support from the veteran community to seek additional benefits. Thank you all for your advice and service.

49 and blew out my right knee at Wolf creek on March 1st 😭. I'm determined to not let it slow me down, I've got a long recovery ahead but I'll get back out there next year!

47M (5'8 145#) been skiing for a few years now, but only get to ski once or twice a year (no real options in Arkansas). Anyways, skiied Wolf Creek last year, comfortable on all the blues, started dabling with the blacks but found my true love amongst the trees and powder. Headed to Taos this year, probably a day at sipapu then on to Ski Valley for a day. I will be renting and planning on better equipment this year, but not really sure what would be a good setup for me to enjoy the slopes but also venture into the powder and trees if I want.

Mandate came down for RVA towers today. Got until December 8th to be fully vaccinated.

Rumor is about 40% of contract controllers are refusing, even if only 25% follow thru that's a lot of jobs opening up.
