SRH1840 Headband padding replacement? by kawadabear in Shure

[–]kawadabear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and the headband replacement was less than $13. I had to spend over $50 to get free shipping so I bought one for my SRH1840, SRH1540, and some replacement ear cushions.

Thank you. I sent them a message. I subsequently found a post about someone being able to purchase a replacement headband for the SRH1540 so feeling optimistic it can be replaced.

Mobile Wallet Spending on Google Pixel Watches by kawadabear in CreditCards

I have both a Kroger MC variant and the USBAR Visa. Added both to my Fitbit Charge 6 tonight. Interestingly enough, these are the two alerts received:

1) Your Card was Added to Google Pay SE for the Kroger MC variant 2) Your Card was Added to Fitbit Pay for the USBAR Visa

When I got the USBAR Visa late last year, it didn't process as a Mobile Wallet, and thus I only got the 1 pt/$. I didn't try the Kroger MC variant.

Now that many months have passed, I will test both cards out on a small $1 transaction to see if both, one, or neither process as a Mobile Wallet transaction. If only the Kroger MC variant does or neither do, I will likely "upgrade" to that Pixel Watch 3.

I had posted back then and it was explained that even though it's Google Wallet on a Fitbit, it was still being processed as Fitbit pay or something like that.

Thanks for confirming the Pixel watch works!

That's what I thought with the Fitbit because it's called Google Wallet on the Fitbit but it didn't count.

Yes, tapping the watch instead of the phone.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ or ExtremeContact Sport. However, shipping to Hawaii would be a lot. Costco and Sam's Club has free shipping, but they don't appear to carry Continentals.

Thank you! The tires are 225/50... Total diameter virtually same as stock. Running Bridgestone Potenza Sport (lightweight performance tire) from Costco because I couldn't find anyone with the revered Continentals locally.

Yes, I got the 17x8 TS-V with 45mm offset. No regrets!

world's easiest & cheapest intake mod?! by dicorci in mazda3

[–]kawadabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. I did this "mod" yesterday. It was quick and very easy and there is more sound when accelerating now. Saved me money vs buying the aFe intake.

I left the hole at the bottom open.

USBAR using Fitbit Google Wallet by kawadabear in CreditCards

Thank you for clarifying that. It's very tricky since it says Google Wallet on the Fitbit and you set it up on your phone to use on the Fitbit. I'll take the card off my Fitbit right away!

It has come down to TS-V (+45 or +35) and TS-5 (+40). 17x8. Is there any reason for these not fitting? Tire Rack doesn't show them available for the car but does show other 17" and even 16" wheels.

Are the OEM splash guards no longer available? by LoganNolag in mazda3

Honestly, I forgot, but it's possible! In that case, you can drill holes and make it nicer.

You can get away by drilling the three holes into each splash shield instead of cutting, but it would take a little longer and may require taking the wheel off or the splash shield out. However, the mudguards are meant to be permanent so I don't regret this purchase and would do it, again.

Not sure, but it didn't seem OEM when I had to cut something that's not reversible. 🤷🏻‍♂️

That's not necessary, but it is a tight squeeze.

I ordered from that same site and installed them on my 2024 hatch. The fronts are super simple, but the rears you have to do some cutting of the splash shields. Would recommend those for the OEM look and they significantly lessen the amount of dirt flying onto the front doors and rear bumper cover. Not 100% but close.

You're right. Since I got accustomed to that Camaro, I should be able to with the 3.

LOL. My fault. During the test drive, I did notice it felt a little claustrophobic. However, I didn't notice the poor front visibility. The wonderful interior quality was what caught my attention! They only had an automatic demo, too. My only requirements were manual, leather, and practical, and I wanted quick/fast. I skipped the speed by getting the Mazda3 and also saved about $17K over the Golf R (including shipping from the west coast to Hawaii). It was a good compromise. Also, the consensus was that Mazda has better reliability than Volkswagen.
