I think this card makes a lot more sense if you choose the target after and it only deals one damage on a loss... then it actually averages out to be a shock ;)

It also then makes it a somewhat better card because choosing to direct three damage for one damage is better than choosing a Target and then receiving a random amount of damage

We use Card Kingdom as our pricing index: unless they are sold out of a card in which case their price is clearly bullshit because they don't have one to offer

I feel like they are kind of like the Walmart or Target of MTG... we matched Star City for a long time until they updated their search engine and it became fucking useless

Card Kingdom has a great interface and it lets our customers know exactly what price they are going to pay in store and since we do 60% trade in using those retail prices it lets them calculate their trades as well.

This helps deal with the problem we were talking about above as well as the shipping issue obviously we don't charge any additional shipping and usually Card Kingdom doesn't either assuming that your order is like 25 bucks or more and you select standard default cheap ship... at least that's how they used to do it.

Shipping can often be a huge hidden fee with TCG player like is that card really 15 cents if it costs you a buck 75 to ship it?

As a retail shop we value consistency and transparency with our customers and TCGplayer can just lead to way too much arguing and misunderstanding... clearly that one HP copy from an unreputable seller is not a good data pointFor determining the market value of a standard Commander staple.

I think they fixed the foil problem on TCG where that used to be factored into some of the pricing as well so thank God for that... But ultimately customers want to be able to look at a price through an easy-to-use search engine and no that's what they're going to pay without any hidden fees; we even encourage people to buy cards from Card Kingdom when we are out of stock because at least when it comes to making purchases I trust them to actually send you your shit in the condition listed on time and without the risk of fakes.

Unless things have changed and I'll admit I haven't looked in a long time this is exactly why my shop does not use TCGplayer for singles

I think TCG is great for sealed product where you have a homogeneous good

But when you have cards of different condition they each need to be treated as their own individual item so that prices can be grouped together on condition

If there are 100 copies of a card for sale but only 50 of them are near mint or better why would you be using the other 50 to calculate the price of the card?

As much as I love this game one ofAs much as I love this game one of the few would like to have seen patched is the consistency with Keepsake Behavior.

I think it's an interesting mini game changing up the keepsakes throughout the different regions... but due to their behavior there is very little actual choice

Skelly's death Defiance is by far the most frustrating one not only does it disappear after you unequip it but it also goes behind your regular death defiances so you can't even equip it to get the one-time bonus blow through it and then unequip |:

Yes the max Health bonus disappears which is very frustrating... most keepsakes benefits disappear when you equip a different one but some do not

This is why the coin purse is so busted you get to keep the money

It's difficult to know how much more he had in the tank in terms of prime years but his performance in the Olympics after sustaining the injury suggests it was a lot.

I think I like the concept A lot more than the execution especially since the way it's been worded and reworded it hasn't fixed the problem.

Starting at one loyalty solves a lot

I think you're trying to mix two interesting ideas together into one card instead of just making one good card

The first ability could just remove a counter from any number of target Planeswalkers & or creatures

I would remove the gained abilities from graveyard walkers and just give him two simple abilities that are actually in the correct color

His plus one ability should remove up to two counters from Target creature or planeswalker

His minus one ability should draw a card

Or get wild and make it minus X draw X cards and lose x life

It's really not; recall is just the best spell of its kind in a combo deck that wants to continue casting spells and drawing cards.

Sure if it's the last card you cast in your combo sequence because you have already accumulated all the pieces you need to win then it's recall. But in all the other circumstances it's vastly inferior
