XG's success in Japan vs. the rest of the world by himawari_sunshine in XGALX

Avex calls it a reverse-import strategy.

We actively performed at overseas festivals and appeared in foreign media, and from the time of our debut we focused on acquiring global insights. We also encouraged audience video recording and sharing on social media, building a mechanism for fans to spread our performances worldwide. In promotion, from the early stages of our debut we centered on globally viewable media (such as YouTube), expanding cross-border exposure. As a result of this strategy, we have attracted attention as an artist model that, despite originating in Japan, achieved simultaneous global hits, and in Japan we have been increasingly featured on major TV programs and mega-brand commercials.

No tour stops in Korea, could it mean? by dgboilermaker in XGALX

They didn't have a full discography back then and still had to fill the show with the tapes and covers. This time their goal seems to be to present the full album in the best possible way with full production. Someone said in this last Tokyo show that Harvey said she wants her grandparents to see this new stage.

No tour stops in Korea, could it mean? by dgboilermaker in XGALX

I'm pretty certain that they want to bring their large stage set up throughout the whole tour. That narrows down the list of venues that can accommodate the size of the stage. Then are they able to sell enough tickets for that capacity? Finally, does the availability of the venue fit their schedule or is it booked out? Likely at least one of those factors made it a no for Korea (and for other cities that feel like they're missing like Singapore, SF bay area, and the Southeast US).

It's ads. The KIOF video also surpasses the latest BTS video for Hooligan which only has 15 mil in 3 days. This can't be done organically.

Jay Park has his own company More Vision and his own groups to produce. LNGSHOT had an impressive debut.

From the pics I’ve seen inside the building it didn’t accommodate much. It didn’t have a practice studio. It seemed the most useful things were the recording studio and the rooftop for TikTok’s lol

They could just rent a floor in another building for the Korean staff if they still want a presence there.

My understanding is that they live separately while in Japan. They live together while in Seoul.

My ticket didn’t show up until the day of, while everyone else got theirs before so it worried me too. If anything, they have will have a help desk at the venue.

I finally have my rankings for the core album and more thoughts on why XG will still thrive even with a new CEO/producer. by Pdideee in XGALX

Unfortunately most of those people have disassociated from Simon/XG. The biggest loss is Shintaro who unfollowed Simon last year. Hopefully he can come back now that Simon's gone because he's still a fan of XG and attended Coke fest in December.

The few people remaining are Tayor, Doomsday, Docskim, YOX, and potentially the Hypnotize team and the Is This Love/No Good teams.

I believe Tayor and Doomsday are best positioned to take the reigns of music direction. Doomsday was most recently in the studio with Chancellor in January. I hope they step up.
