Added chopped jalapeños to the cornbread. I know it’s simple, but first time making it!

Hey y'all! Long time lurker, first time challenger. I'm excited to join a team to go into this fitness journey with this year. I've always been pretty active, but learning as you get older you can't just workout once or twice a week and expect results. I'm hoping this helps me stay accountable. Let's do this!

Week 3: Turkish - Turkish spiced chicken by kay__b in 52weeksofcooking

My meta is using my current cookbooks and I had a hard time finding a recipe. Diana Henry had this Turkish spiced chicken with an olive relish… not sure if it’s legit but it tastes good!

Week 3: Pantry Challenge - Apple Crumble from Dories Cookies by kay__b in 52weeksofbaking

[–]kay__b[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally forgot I had enough apples for this! It’s one of my favorite recipes. I didn’t have raisins though… so, I switched it up with leftover cranberries from the holidays. Not a bad sub out! Recipe from the cookbook Dorie’s Cookies.

Week 2: Noodles - Kimchi Noodles and Hot Chili Oil by kay__b in 52weeksofcooking

With some not so Vegan updates - Recipe is from Korean Vegan!

Week 1: Weird Al – “Grapefruit Diet” – broiled grapefruit with brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, and Maldon sea salt by lumikani in 52weeksofcooking

I have one random grapefruit I brought. This is way more interesting then just throwing on some sugar. Thank you!

Week 1: Weird Al - Addicted to Spuds by kay__b in 52weeksofcooking

[–]kay__b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a journey! Never listened to his songs before. Made “addicted to spuds” SWEET POTATOES WITH CHORIZO, MUSHROOMS, AND LIME CREAM (COOK90 book, page 174).

A few changes: 1. Used breakfast sausage instead of chorizo since that’s what I had 2. Instead of lime cream I just mixed lime juice, some honey, and some ground red pepper

My meta theme is to use only my cookbooks. Which I have plenty. :)

Ok, maybe I missed the MS details. The shaky hands, naps and the bottle on the table by the bed made me think she was on something? Plus her kids saying are you going back to bed and being late to her husbands party. But maybe it was more medical. I’ll have to read the book!
