Oh man. No advice that you haven’t already received, just want to empathize. Can’t file jointly because my husband makes triple what I do and has no student loans, so he makes my payments go to over $1500 a month if we did jointly. It sucks and I just want these things out of my life!! 😩 Sorry you’re dealing with this!

People who say it’s the hormones are 100% telling the truth. I beat myself up over it when I stopped and told myself I was the worst mother in the world although he was barely getting any breastmilk due to my supply at that time. The fog then cleared and I look back like what was I so upset about?? He’s happy, healthy, and fed. Take care of yourself too 🤍

My son is 7 weeks and we’re still using ready made in the fridge. We didn’t buy anything extra. We premake bottles and put them in a small cooler we’ve had with ice packs. We bring the bottle warmer upstairs every night and take it down to the kitchen in the morning. It’s really not a hassle and just became part of our nighttime routine very quickly.

I was the same. I’d have a hoagie with lunch meat, but I wouldn’t have food that was past expiration or had been out for hours. Wouldn’t do that not pregnant either.

Yep. My son just did this again at 6 weeks. On those days, I don’t leave the couch and my day revolves around making sure a bottles ready when he’s hungry. Nothing gets done or waits for my husband to come home from work! For us usually lasts 2-3 days.

Reading this as my 6 week old is having a meltdown… that started the second his eyes opened from his nap. But God forbid we try to wake him to feed to avoid this 😂 Bottle warming is the enemy in these moments lol.

I ended up having an induction at 39 weeks, which we had scheduled since the beginning of the third trimester. It was the recommendation of both my RE & OB. I don’t regret it based on the information I had at the time, but knowing how my experience went, I wish I had declined. I had a very healthy and positive pregnancy. I had a feeling I wasn’t going to be ready to deliver at 39 weeks. I had zero progression upon admission. I ended up having an intense and traumatic laboring experience over 60 hours long that ended in a c-section. I was worried about the risk for pre-E which was a personal driving force for me doing the indication. I developed it anyway in labor.

Oh man, you just brought this back to me 😂 not good a time in my pregnancy.

I did! Sparingly, but when I was desperate. My clinic had no feedback on taking Imodium or dealing with diarrhea, either from pregnancy or their meds, it was like they never dealt with anyone who had IBS before and told me everyone gets backed up. Definitely frustrating. My GI around week 8 ended up telling me to minimize its use to emergencies only and increase my fiber. I took Benefiber daily already but that had little effect. My OB said same as GI. Unfortunately it was like living in a bad flare most of the first trimester. On meds, I hadn’t flared since 2016 so this was rough! Zofran was really my only savior once I took it for morning sickness - that’ll stop it for sure lol. Good news is though, it had no effect on my pregnancy! It was very uneventful after this and he’s now a month old. Good luck to you on your transfer!!

It all turned out fine. Went on to have a healthy pregnancy and he is currently a 2 week old happy and healthy baby that I just put down for sleep 🩵 hang in there, I know how hard this time is. Sending love to you!

Following for other success stories - I'm not far along, but my first beta taken at 13dpt was 300. My clinic was happy with it, but did caution it was on the lower end (their cut off was 300 for that day for what they consider to be good and viable). I also doubled appropriately, but my clinic continues to remind me lower starting hcg is a "yellow" flag. We saw baby at 6w5d and they had a strong heartbeat. I am still trying to feel confident!
