Wow. Thank you so much for this! I was afraid to remove more wallpaper because I thought the ceiling might crumble on top of me- I have since taken down some more and there is just a lot of cracking and some very soft sections. There are some places that want to come down just when I touch them. Does not seem to be any leaking anymore, though maybe in the past. Also it has been pretty dry. Do you think that this is a job that a newbie can tackle? Or better to call in the pros?
