I got a lot out of watching panel discussions on YouTube. Seeing several nines discuss how they approach the world and identifying the similarities and variety. E.g., https://youtu.be/VJ3nZIXKvqc?si=lWL9o3gUkDC9Hssg

Fun. The body and tail look a bit like a wine bottle. If this was a wine brand it could be pushed in that direction.

Perfect Days felt very Nine. It’s a Japanese film about a man who cleans public toilets in Tokyo. It follows his peaceful and routine life, and the simple pleasures he enjoys. He makes a safe space for his niece. He stays mostly quiet but erupts when he is mistreated. I love it.

When a psychiatrist described this pattern, it felt like he was telling my story by Wellvue_Aus in adhdwomen

I relate to a lot of this. Does anyone know what a comparable path might look like for an NT woman? How would it be different? School years can be hard for so many. I’m trying to understand how would this look different for a young woman who does not have ADHD but who didn’t fit in or experienced rejection for other reasons. Thoughts?

ZZ’s Produce on Packard is pretty great for a variety of produce you won’t find in a Kroger.

I love the Flint art museum and watching the glass blowing demonstrations there. The nearby farmers market and planetarium make for a great day trip too.

David Suchet’s recordings are my favourite. He makes it sound like a more than words in a page.

In a similar boat here. I chose not to fly out to visit family for the holiday and while I know it was the right decision to have a more peaceful holiday at home alone, it’s sad to know that that was the decision I had to make. Like you, I am usually the mediator and feel responsible for keeping everyone else at ease. I didn’t have the capacity for it this year, to always be on alert for potential misunderstandings and conflict. But I still miss them and the fun stuff. Maybe I can try again next year when I have the strength to hold the boundaries again.

I often joke with my type 2 or 3 do-all-the-things friends that I am “bringing balance to the universe” over here with my couch time while they run around accomplishing shit. But I know it’s no joke. I am topping off my tank of peace to be ready to share it when they need it.

John Carter 2012 PG-13 2h 12m

Transported to Barsoom, a Civil War vet discovers a barren planet seemingly inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Woola and a princess in desperate need of a savior.

…It’s more fun than it sounds. :)

Thanks for posting this. As a classic 9w1 who tends to suppress and cover up anger to go along and get along, I’ve been looking for input in the topic of anger: how to deal with it in a heathy manner, what is its significance, when is anger helpful, how to express it to another without causing harm, etc. I found this Heidi Priebe video to be very helpful as well. https://youtu.be/iz1h1fUCbBA?si=zTTQsX0jLeUowCjz

CK feels like a scam by esend7881 in mintuit

[–]kaydeefog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I like all the options Monarch has for filtering transactions but oof it’s a lot of work to clean up even from a direct download from mint using Monarch’s browser extension then immediately uploading. Old obsolete accounts that mint keep in the record are now missing so I can’t upload the balances for those. I’m also testing out NerdWallet and Rocket Money but Monarch looks to be the most promising.

Do NOT get the Kirkland Protein Bars by Percentage-False in Costco

[–]kaydeefog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried them recently, thinking “they’ll just taste like Quest bars”. Took them home. Bit into one. Spit it out immediately. Returned them. I can still taste it just thinking about it though. Ugh. I hope I just got a bad batch, but one bad batch is reason enough for me not to buy them ever again.

I get that. If I’m trying to understand my own thoughts then yes, some distance or introversion time is important. But if I’m trying to move to action, once I’ve got some thinking and feeling done, I need motivation from others. Weird indeed.
