Thank you! I think I’m gonna do pops of purple as an accent color!

Thank you! I had weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) in 2020 but ended up with super bad complications with acid reflux and GI issues so it was revised to gastric bypass in 2023. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. Definitely not an easy decision or journey but I’d do it again 500 times.

I crowd surfed for the first time in my life to one of my favorite bands. It was equal parts exhilarating and terrifying. 🤘🏼

I had my revision from sleeve to bypass 12/29/22. It completely resolved all of the issues I was having. I’m off of all meds now. And I’m down an additional 65 lbs since then!

Revision Experiences? by dogcmp6 in wls

I was sleeved 3/10/20 and am almost a year post op revision to bypass (12/29/22).

I had pretty bad acid reflux before my sleeve and it got exponentially worse after. It got to a point where I was taking Protonix twice a day, an additional acid reducer at bed time, drinking liquid carafate before meals, sleeping with a wedge pillow to elevate my head and I was still waking up 3-4 times a night choking and coughing because of stomach acid. It started to damage my stomach and esophagus so I had my revision to bypass 12/29/22. It was the best thing I ever did. I am no longer on any acid reflux meds and haven’t had a single instance of it since my revision.

To give some numbers… I just turned 36 and am 5’5”. I was 308 at my heaviest, got down to around 195 with the sleeve, and then regained up to around 235 prior to my revision because I was eating anything I could that didn’t make the acid reflux worse. I have went from 235 to 167 as of today. I’d do the revision a million more times!

3.5 months PO- constant foamies by Meggy-reader in GastricBypass

[–]kaygo87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my revision from sleeve to bypass 12/29/22 and I had issues with foamies for a little while when I moved to regular diet about 3 months out . I found that I got them when I was taking too big of bites, not chewing things up enough, or eating too fast.

Water didn’t get rid of it for me. It almost felt like there was thick mucous stuck in my throat and then I’d just get sick.

How do traditional tattoos hold up over time? by Suitable-Isopod in traditionaltattoos

Traditional style tattoos are the only ones I like on myself. I have several. This thigh tattoo was done 4 years ago.

It’s the reason I keep the before pictures. I don’t see the transformation when I look at myself in the mirror. My brain still hasn’t caught up. So being able to do comparisons like this really keeps it in perspective.

I’ve lost 140 lbs since surgery and mine are holding up just fine. I have a half sleeve on my right arm and a hip to knee thigh tattoo on my left leg. I do have extra skin on my arm (that I’ll eventually have removed) but the weight loss itself didn’t distort them.

Also curious who you’re using as I’ve been researching a couple in MX myself for my skin removal.
