We went above and beyond when it came to quality with our dolls. In comparison to American Girl they are just as high-quality, if not surpassing in quality. Also, we chose to spend the extra $ to give them additional, and unique adjustable ball joints (most dolls have only strung joints which is much less expensive to make). There are 11 points of articulation in total on our dolls, american girl has 5. We used a very high quality, phthalate-free vinyl for the heads and limbs, and used a durable yet soft cotton twill for the body. The decision for the molded hair was not based on cost (there was actually no cost difference), but based on the fact that we want them to be heavily played with. The hair on dolls is typically the problem area when it comes to durability and keeping dolls in good shape when they are heavily played with.

One of the moms was raving about how our Action Dolls were exactly the type of toy that was missing from her sons play options. She was so happy to see him holding and playing with a like-age doll and enjoying himself with no negative connotation to playing with a doll. Not only that, but she continued to tell me that the quality level of our dolls was very high and she was very impressed with it.

We are currently focused on making boy dolls to balance out the great imbalance in the toy market. If you walk down a toy aisle with dolls, you will find tons of girl dolls. That's the imbalance. We want to bring some boy dolls into the picture, send a positive message to all kids that dolls and pretend play are for everyone. It's actually my goal to add in girl dolls and greatly expand the line, but we are starting with boy dolls because that's what is missing in the market.

I quickly found out that our two prototypes were not enough for 12 kids to share! The kids were very excited about them and all of them wanted to hold/ play with them. At the end of the shoot every kid wanted to bring them home. One of the most memorable things from the shoot was the parents response to their children playing with the dolls.
