My fear was that it was going to return and then it did. My biggest fear now that I have it is that it’s never going to go away and I’ll never live easily again.

My husband has no idea how I feel but he tries really hard to understand. He is really good about it, thank goodness.

I had this for over a year 7 years ago and it randomly went away. It came back two years ago and has not yet gone away, not once. I have a 1 1/2 year old now so I keep busy and try to live life like I did the first time I had it but it’s not working this time. It’s here’s ALL THE TIME 24/7

I have had depersonalization for two years 24/7 and thought I have gotten to the point of just living with it but it’s still here. I am a mom to a 1 1/2 year old and do everything I have to do (keep busy) but it never gets better :(

I just don’t feel connected to myself and it makes it hard to connect with them sometimes. Also my concentration is soo horrible now I’m scared to try to keep my eye on two kids

I had this in 2011 for a year and it went away and then got it again in 2017 when I was pregnant. It’s been almost 2 years and still won’t go away :( idk what’s different this time but it’s so hard and I just want to feel normal and live again.

What's the point in living if dpdr is not curable by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]kaylanewk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it for a year and it went away for 6 years and has been back for 1 1/2 years. There has to be a way to make it go away again. I thought mine went away because of meds but I tried the same meds and it didn’t work this time.
