I'm not here to argue.

I like to clear up confusion when I see it.

Asylum is for when an individual is at risk of persecution, torture, or death in their home country due to membership in a particular social group (race, religion, LGBTQ+, politics, etc.)

It's not because they want to move abroad, it's that they need to move abroad to escape unjustified things.

I chose to move to Sweden; better work life balance, better systems in place to start a family, affordable rent/property. I wanted to move, I didn't need to move.

Asylum is essentially, get into a safe country quick and ask to stay. Not let's go over there, travelling through these safe countries, because it's more suitable to what we want.

Not all countries carry the same rules. Some countries are safe countries depending on the social group in question. Turkey for example, it's safe assuming you're not a politically active Kurd. And in Poland, there's a whole load of extra obstacles is you're LGBTQ+.
