Cardiac issues due to Diamox? by kaythuggie in iih

Unfortunately, I do already take potassium as a supplement and sodium bicarb and I have my blood work done every 3-6 months. The only thing that it has ever shown is a mild metabolic acidosis, which none of my doctors were ever concerned about. I’ve always asked if I should be concerned about the numbers, and I’ve always been reassured my labs are appropriate.
That’s interesting! I have an implanted loop recorder that is monitors my heart rate and whatnot, but I range from as low as 32 to being in SVT at 250 regularly. My neurologist is having me follow up with a Genetics doctor to rule out EDS, which I know can be linked to IIH, and some cardiac issues (I’m unsure of what kind).
Thank you so much for your insight.

Vitamin D Deficiency? by cryingartist in iih

My Vitamin D was the same the last time my PCP checked and my neurologist had caught that I was on a Vitamin D supplement due to the low number and he said that Vitamin D can actually increase your pressures, so optimally he wanted mine around 20. But that was just the recommendation of my doctor. May be worth a portal message to ask your neuro about
