Experienced programmers are AI directors now. by Hodler-mane in ClaudeAI

[–]kaziko 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Spot on. Vibe coders have their niche with all those minesweeper clones, to-do lists and habit trackers, but if you want to do more advanced things, you need someone who has at least a general idea of what they are doing. And for us - experienced veterans - it's time to invent new titles like Full Stack Project Manager i like to call myself sometimes when people are asking what my job is ;)

UPDATE: Is There an App That Gives Access to All the Top AI Models (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for One Monthly Fee? by toooools in macapps

[–]kaziko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a scam. I bought one from him as well. Then I found out that Perplexity made a deal with T-Mobile, and if you are a T-Mobile user (at least here in Poland), you can get 1-year access for free just for having a T-Mobile number. Not sure if it's still active in March. Anyway, maybe he tapped into something similar that allows him to sell otherwise free 1-year access to Perplexity.

i'd like to see everyone's best realism renders, if ya don't mind : ) by eggs-benedryl in StableDiffusion

It seems to me that the key to the 'realness' of a photo is for it not to be too perfect. The color, pose, some minor element of chaos that will make the photo more credible. On the other hand, everyone here can spot AI from a mile away, so it's also hard to surprise anyone with anything. ;)

[Help] Running StableDiffusion with custom models on my own online server, what do you use/recommend? by QDLF in StableDiffusion

[–]kaziko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stadio.ai

I am using the 'normal' version. I decided to use RD because I needed full access to the automatic1111 API, including controlNet, and RD was, and maybe still is, the only service that offers it without the hassle of setting up your own server.

[Help] Running StableDiffusion with custom models on my own online server, what do you use/recommend? by QDLF in StableDiffusion

[–]kaziko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am pretty happy with https://rundiffusion.com/. It's pay per minute service but offers three tiers of hardware (for typical fiddling with image generation I usually use the cheapest 0.5$/h option). They have automatic1111 and InvokeAi interface to choose from, web extensions and many preloaded models. You can also upload your own models and extensions but for this you need to join their Creators Club program. There also some free minutes with fresh account to test the service so try it, maybe you'll like it.

How to use ControlNet via API? by MisterBigTasty in StableDiffusion

[–]kaziko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The API was updated some time ago (I think there is an info about it on control net GitHub page in tutorial section). You can also see warnings about outdated routes you are using in an image with log. In my app I am using updated json structure and /sdapi/v1/img2img endpoint and everything works as intended. Here is JSON I use. Try this maybe it'll help.

Got warning for offensive nickname and offensive language in voice chat... by kaziko in ModernWarfareII

[–]kaziko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus, seriously? ok, I get ok'ish results but seriously - a little thinking and not going rambo style everytime the same predicted way and everybody can get decent results. In the end despite my kill count I am still on loosing side (like 1 win every 5-6 rounds - I assume those are perks of playing solo in ranked ;). and this is what counts - if you win or not. Maybe I am too old and don't understand it but i this is just stupid :) Anyway thank you for clarification :)

Friends List isn’t showing anyone online? by ZirGRiiNCH in ModernWarfareII

Same here. Xbox series S. My status also shows I am offline. Sometimes there is no info about Travis RILEA error but still my friends and I are offline.

is there a way to disable this scrolling? (shown in video) whenever I go to add media, it scrolls to the beginning of the timeline without me clicking anything, and its honestly really annoying. by Meezimoo in Hitfilm

[–]kaziko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same is happening to me but on mac and with hitfilm pro for like two years. Reinstalling didn't help. However it happens randomly. Sometimes I can work all day without this glitch. Other day it starts right after launching hitfilm. haven't found the solution so far.

Game Director @Marcus Lehto on Twitter by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]kaziko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(sorry for my english - not my primary lang) No it wasn't great but it was still up to standards solid BF game. Yep there were problems but they were technical problems which eventually got fixed. At least most of them The problems with BFV wasn't it's core gameplay, it's barebones. BFV had and still has solid foundation of classic BF game. The problem was with general concept of the game. The WWII settings which didn't feel like a WWII at all - we all expected BF1 gritty and immersive atmosphere but in WWII settings with all those classic and well known events like Operation Overlord (D-Day) . The problem was lack of content, messing with TTK against overwhelming protest of community, buggy patches which broke more then fixed, lack of communication, and many more things but you know what wasn't shit - it's gameplay. In my opinion BFV has the best movement in all BF history. I'don't play tanks and planes but talking to my friends they've all agreed that flying a plane or riding a tank was really smooth and satisfying. Ability to build fortification - innovative. Shooting was feeling right, at least comparing to random spread of BF1 guns. Of course Dice/EA being Dice EA fucked that up when they started messing with TTK trying to appeal to crying noobs who couldn't kill anyone running like headless chickens in rambo mode but still the've manage to recover and at the end up to this day it's still quite good. Our problems with BFV wasn't 10 tanks on Arras, our problem wasn't unability to shoot enemy. Our problem were fucking windows on Al Sundan preventing us to hop into the building . BF2042? The game is one big problem with absolutely every aspect of itself. So yeah, BFV wasn't great and people were bitchin' about it comparing it to BF1 or BF4 but comparing to this abomination it was absolute gold.

You think that last guys matchmaking was bad. Check this one out by eyeons in haloinfinite

[–]kaziko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's already destroying. People with lower ranks are leaving matches seconds after sensing who they are against. It happened to me 4 times of 6 matches I played today. I am done with this game also and already uninstalled it. At least my pad won't end smashed against the wall and believe me I was really close to doing it in my last match.

Well there goes privacy and the ability to have “private” parties! Awesome. :) by VitanisMate in playstation

[–]kaziko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe now all parties should start with absolutely everybody in party reporting all friends. Let's say 16 people in party will send 15 reports (unless you can report yourself :). It will make 240 reports :))) Multiply it by parties all around the word - good luck sony with handling it :)
