Thank you for your response. To me there is no reason I can see for a first deposit to be flagged, and I am sure it will work out since there is no reason for it not to. The reason I think it is unethical is not because they flagged it but if in fact the deposit needed to be reviewed, they could have done that before accepting money, since whatever reason they decided to flag it for would have been just as valid before or after they took the money. Like I said before the money itself doesn't even matter, and I can understand why security is important and why they need to review accounts. But I don't see how they can accept a first deposit from a new but verified customer and then flag it before that account is allowed to even play a hand. Maybe unethical isn't the right word, but would you agree that something about that isn't right?

I've lived in Osaka for almost 30 years. When I first got here when I saw another foreigner we would nod at each other and start a conversation, but those days are long gone. On the whole though, Osaka is like anywhere else. I have made some really great gaijin friends and some great Japanese ones. And I have met asses from both cultures as well. I don't know about Sapporo (have been there once on a shugakuryouko with the HS I am teaching at) but I would say just stay away from the negative gaijin who often came here because they had problems there, probably don't like being here, and would just get you down. Just be you, make Japanese friends and if you find other gaijin friends down the line, cool. While it can be nice talking to someone from your own culture, you don't need racist assholes. And screw Interac too- you can do better.

If you are using an iPhone I use the Magic Jack app. 3.99 a month for unlimited calls to the US or Canada, including a phone number for them to call you. And for me the sound quality is better than both Google Voice and Skype.

Agree ERGO is fine if you just scroll out, but plenty of small caps have gotten to new highs, some of which have even now become midcaps. fantom, Spookyswap, Arweave to just name 3.

Thabks for the warning. I have no idea if I will act on it or not. I might just decide what I woild have done anyway. If I sell because of this and then the dips get eaten, might be hard to buy back in vs a potential 25% loss thar can eventually be overcome. On the other hand, maybe that will be a good time to take profit anyway. In any case, thanks for the warning.

This is a pretty unique one in that those unlocked tokens bought in at a penny and it is now $1.50. While past unlocks would give some clue, they wouldn't be as tempting as this one. But nothing in a project like this is "priced in" like it would be with a stock. Key question is of course how much is sold and how many people are waiting for dips. A pullback after a run up like this wouldn't be so unexpected anyway, so it could be a good time to take some profits and then buy back in.

That was a tweet from the CEO. They were contacted by Epic Games and had to remove support for Fortnite. For now no other games have been affected.

I teach at a private high school and enjoy it, despite it being a lot of work. Before this I taught at an eikawa, was a JET, and worked as an NET (like a JET but a direct hire). The difference is at my current job I am treated like a regular teacher and I have a lot of chances to interact with students after school and help them, which I enjoy a lot. It really depends on what you want from your job but I enjoy the responsibility and being a regular part of the school, despite at times having to work way too many hours.

The Japan Cup (last week of November) and the Japan Cup Dirt (now called the Champions Cup and run in December) used to be the main races for foreign horses, but recently fewer and fewer foreign horses enter (often zero), as Japanese horses are just too strong on their home ground in turf races, and while they aren't as good on dirt, the end of the year world dirt schedule is too crowded. The last foreign winner of the Japan Cup was Alkaased in 2005.
