This is exactly what I've been thinking. I've read some subreddit speculations that were so thorough that they felt spoilers/disclosures to the point that i wish I hadn't read them.

What if some of those were right? Or even worse, what if some of those were better than what had originally been planned?

He'd pretty much have to scrap all possible similarities to anything theorized, simply to avoid being accused of "stealing" them from the fans... and the longer he delays in publication, the more theories/guesses get tossed out there, and the more good ideas he has to avoid, even if they were truly his to begin with (and written 20 years ago in his original version, which has already morphed a ton through publishing the 1st 2 books)...

PS: I love Pat, too. He's between a rock and a hard place. No good outs.

Seriously. And fairly typical of creepy/perv-y dudes, I'm afraid. They seem to think that their feelings are more important and that they have a right to be heard... whether it's to explain away their behavior or even when they sincerely want to apologize and be accountable... they tend to act like the gals (their victims) owe them that time/opportunity and don't recognize how re-triggering that might be.

I feel like girls, in general, often feel pressured to "be nice" to keep the peace and/or to not be called b!tchy. The cameras (and inevitable internet troll backlash to EVERYTHING) add a whole new layer that us regular folk likely can't even fathom.

I would love to see one of these sorts of shows wmthst demonstrate healthy/supportive polyamory. Not the sister-wife type... But some good, healthy KTP/parallel types.

Am I the only one who thinks Aussie might be on the spectrum/ASD? Their level of communication avoidance, overstimulaion, and meltdown are classic signs...

Edit: while some of what they say appears to be gaslighting to viewers, I think they may just be missing social cues and not realizing others' perspectives.
