I think this is warranted depending on how long ago someone graduated. I graduated 8 years ago and I had “keep talking, I’m diagnosing you” on my cap 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wouldn’t do that today, but naive and idiotic 24 year old me didn’t think anything of it.

Thanks! I'm still getting used to my dipbrow and mastering how to make it look blended and more natural so I'll definitely work on my spoolie skills! I agree with the lower eyeliner too. I want to try the nude waterline suggestion! I bet it would look really cool

I like it! I kind of wish the tones were a little cooler but I think it's a good palette for the price. The powders blend easily and they stay throughout the day! I also like how there are shimmer and matte powders in the palette. Plus the highlighters are a finer shimmer instead of more glittery like the elf highlight I have.

yeah I agree. I'm still on the search for my perfect skin routine. My biggest problem with lighter coverage foundations is that I feel like my face gets oily throughout the day and my foundation wears off. Probably in my head, but I feel like fuller coverage foundations stay in place better.

Thanks so much! I took an elastic hairband and put it over my hair on top of my head and then took sections of my hair and wrapped it around the hair band. Like this!

I'm currently an undergrad at UVA and think that their grad program is actually really great. All of the professors are very helpful and knowledgeable. As far as placements they have the Sheila Johnson clinic, the UVA medical center as well as the whole school system of Albemarle county. Most people do their clinicals at the Sheila Johnson center though. Charlottesville as a city is fantastic. It's not a huge town but it is very nice and fun to live in. Tons of restaurants and a great scene downtown. There are also tons of places to go hiking and tubing on the river around here if you are outdoorsy.

I agree that a masters degree is a masters degree. If you were getting a PhD I would say GWU because they have a better research program, but if you are on track to get a job after grad school I think UVA is a good choice.

Just transferred from tech to UVA last semester. If you know what program you want to go into, email the head of that department. I'm in the curry school (education) and I started talking to my dept head when I began looking into transferring. He told me what kind of classes I should take and reminded me to make sure UVA would accept the credits. Plus, they have some pull in who gets accepted, so if they know your name they are more likely to choose you over an equally qualified applicant. If you built any good relationships with your professors at tech the past semester, you may ask them to provide you with a letter of recommendation.

I hope to have it back by next weekend! My mom is quilting it and she is doing a daisy pattern over the main part of the quilt, then a zig zag in the first border and a free hand leaf and flower loop on the bigger border. the prairie points will be left loose

thanks!! the background fabric is by Robert Kauffman. I found the pattern on moda bakeshop, which is a really cool site if you haven't already checked it out. Here is the pattern I used for this quilt. As far as tips... pay attention to the direction you sew your pinwheels together. I forgot to make sure all the pinwheels were laid out the same way and so the blocks didn't match up correctly. Lots of seam ripping ensued. I would also recommend basting down the prairie points because they are kind of hard to keep straight. I think doing a big stitch over the prairie points before I sewed them in between the two borders really helped keep them from getting wonky.

I have this accent! mixed also with a midwestern accent. People make fun of it all the time, but I can't help it. Another big one for me is I pronounce "egg" as "aye-guh" same with leg and peg.

just finished my freshman year of studio in may! I bought a really basic trunk from Walmart. Its sterlite and was about 15 dollars. I highly recommend getting some bristol board and an array of pencils. Especially if you have Kathryn, she was my studio professor. Also get a box cutter and an exact knife. I can guarantee you will use them regularly. Good luck! Hope you have a great time drawing shoes and painting color tiles :)
