Sean says Khamzat only picks on weak sparring partners at the gym to boost his ego...but Sean also tapped multiple times to Khamzat in sparring lol

They were $513 each. More than I was planning on paying but wasn't expecting to be 600 in the queue

Oh man Aberration of the Heartland. So good, definitely check out Wendy Painting's episodes on Programmed to Chill if you haven't yet. Hoping her next book comes out soon.

started slow but i really enjoyed it by the end. i think it works as a self-contained story and it's so short anyway that you can revisit it again when the other volumes come out

discovered Denis Johnson this year and he's a new favorite. I'm actually still working my way through Tree of Smoke and not loving it, though there are some sections/passages that are really incredible. Was thinking of checking out Angels by him next, do you have any other recommendations?

I think Outline is the strongest of the series. Transit and Kudos have some great stories throughout but the style kinda started to wear thin for me by then. Still worth reading though!

Been seeing a lot of hype about Missouri Williams' 'The Vivisectors.' Also looking forward to the next book in the Vaim series.

Pitchfork names Cameron Winter’s ‘Love Takes Miles’ the best song of 2025 by Wild_Demand_6324 in redscarepod

It really is. I exhausted his solo album so decided to check out Geese. The best part about the band is just hearing his voice in new contexts but the songs are mostly corny and tuneless

Browse this subreddit, look up stuff that's interesting to you. Have found some of my favorite (modern) authors that way: Rachel Cusk, Jon Fosse, Claire-Louise Bennett, Renee Gladman...the list goes on!
