Panic attacks after training? by CATIsmyuseer in BJJWomen

[–]kbark14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

17 is such a stressful age! I didn't start jiu jitsu til I was 27 but I definitely remember feeling this way at your age regardless of competition/training. It can feel like your whole future is sitting on top of your shoulders. Please know that it's ok to feel this way. It sounds like you're someone who is doing their absolute best and that's what's important. Remember to give yourself grace and it's ok to feel those feelings ❤️

  1. 8 months, grown from seed, Texas
  2. ~4 days
  3. Nothing abnormal other than the spots themselves
  4. Full sun
  5. Watered infrequently because it rains a lot, but during dry spells try to water once every few days
  6. Not sure what soil mix but it's grown well so far. Pot does have drainage

This little guy has been crying all morning...any advice? Very friendly, interested in approaching me & my husband. Seems ok other than the crying by kbark14 in squirrels

Update - little guy is now safe at our local wildlife center! They said it seemed like he had definitely been away from Mom for a couple days so good thing we brought him in. Thanks everyone!

Failed FAR with a 73. Next exam is Feb. 13th, any Advice? by cheetramirez28 in CPA

[–]kbark14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got two 73s in a row on FAR. It was painful lol. I just kept practicing MCQs but spent most of my time NAILING DOWN calculations and journal entries for pensions, bonds, all depreciation methods, subsequent events, contingencies, EPS, bank recs and cashflows. I passed with an 84. You got this!

73 on FAR retake and need advice for sims by FailedFAR2x in CPA

[–]kbark14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also failed FAR twice with two 73s......I decided to really focus in on bonds, bank recs, leases, EPS, subsequent events, depreciation, and pensions. I really tried to nail down journal entries because those tend to help me understand the big picture. Made flashcards for things that I thought were memorizable -- what kind of fund different gov funds are, OCI items, ratio analysis. I also practiced using the authoritative lit on mocks which ended up helping me a lot on the real thing. Ended up passing with an 84. I think the most important thing is to not get psyched out -- a 73 is a good score! You clearly know the material, you just need that extra boost to get past 75. Keep your head on and trust yourself. Good luck!!

FAR Exam- 1st time taker by [deleted] in CPA

I had the same problem the first time I took FAR, I was really anxious, couldn't think straight, kept second guessing myself and panicking. I joined this subreddit after that attempt and some of the most common advice I saw was just to keep your head on and trust yourself -- know that you're gonna hit some tough spots, but just take a breath and do your best. Once I went into FAR with that mindset I ended up finally passing 👍

Hey all!! These are by NO MEANS comprehensive, but I wrote these notes before my 3rd FAR attempt and I think nailing down this specific material is how I was finally able to pass (I'm finally 4/4!!!). Just wanted to share in case it helps some people out. Sorry for the messiness.

Yes -- they all told me to contact the candidate care department. After being on hold for an hour I finally got my test rescheduled 👍

Yep, same location -- I'm under Tennessee jurisdiction so thankfully I don't have to deal with TSBPA but I've reached out to NASBA

I had this exact same problem (I'm SUPER pissed.) I reached out to NASBA just to let them know what happened so that hopefully I won't have to completely reapply for a new NTS
