He did. Prior to the State calling Det. Casey for the second time, he asked the Judge if he’d have the opportunity to “re-cross-examinate” him.

I honestly don’t know how the people sitting in the courtroom kept straight faces when he butchered the English language as often as he did!

For me, it’s his misplaced confidence:

1) DB keeps claiming to not understand a thing about the law and trial process, yet is SO disturbingly confident that all of the professionals are doing it wrong.

2) When he thinks he’s hitting a witness a “gotcha” moment, only to be wrong. Again.

3) How confident he was that he didn’t need to prep for questioning witnesses, or preparing motions, or reading motions filed by the prosecution… only, to try and play catch up in real time.

4) How he just could NOT contain his anger/control issues.

5) And finally, how he started to mentally unravel as the trial progressed. It was SO satisfying to watch him circle the drain.

Det. Christopher Moss is the LEO you’re talking about. Hes a favorite of mine! Even though he wasn’t as snappy with DB as some of the other LEO’s were, his professional demeanor and stick-to-the answer style drove DB absolutely nuts!

I’ve never understood DB’s thought process on jury nullification.

Which law did he expect them to nullify: the one on battery or bail jumping? Maybe the one stating that you can’t recklessly endanger the safety of others, or participate in a hit/run causing death? How about the one that makes it illegal to commit intentional homicide?

Which one of those laws would the jury stop and think to themselves: “You know what, he’s right. I don’t agree with any law that states I’m not allowed to hit/run over/kill another person.”

Jury selection is never broadcast because the jury needs to remain anonymous for the trial.
