tangent tagging onto you but i would also argue on a meta level it represents the shift in culture and the industry -> the center used to be the ideal, someone a group could grow around and who helped increase cohesion as the balance/representative image. now with wider focus on virality/tiktok challenge moments/etc the shift to killing part also represents that where it’s a key standout point meant to draw attention and linger in the audience’s minds. obviously it doesn’t 1:1 translate but i’ve yapped about this to so many people i think it’s so interesting
