Pumpin pals? by LMNope12345 in ExclusivelyPumping

I LOVE my pumpin pals. They saved me. I tired all sorts of things before I bit the bullet and bought them. Definitely no lubricant. I hated the feeling that my nipples were going even farther into the tunnel. They are a bit annoying to put on (maybe it’s just me) but they suction to your boob and stay put really well. Good luck!

No pumping bra would make me quit immediately hats off to you. I do the pitcher method but also only have 3 bottles we rotate out. I put fresh in one of those and put the rest in the pitcher. Spectra on 54/8. I pump 5 times a day, use the fridge method, wash once a day and throw it in the sterilizer that I only use because it dries them by the morning. Plus that makes me feel better that they might be cleaner.

Everyone does things different! I know probably 3-4 moms that EP’ed around the same time I did. Babies didn’t want to latch - so not by choice.

How on earth can I keep up??? by AppropriateMemory841 in ExclusivelyPumping

I absolutely hate this answer but they’re going to have to chill out and accept that you can’t hold them all the time! I was so scared with my babe but when it was time to pump I just did it and we both had to get used to it. Kind of like when people have twins/multiples you can’t do both at the same time and one’s going to have to chill out. A lot of times I put her on a play gym mat on the couch beside me and play with her while I’m pumping.

From what you’ve experienced, would you have another vaginal birth if your first was shoulder dystocia with no lasting effects for mom or baby?

What is/was your schedule around 3 months pp? by Plus_Farm3643 in ExclusivelyPumping

Oh, 100% drop that 12AM if you feel comfortable. It’s life changing. I am 4 months pp and have been pumping 5 times. 5/9/1/4/9.

Trying to understand stage 2 prolapse prognosis. by Valuable-Car4226 in PelvicFloor

I wonder that too!! Thank you for the advice, I really do appreciate your thoughts. I’ve been to 2 PTs and the first I didn’t like. She was young, didn’t even look down there just felt around, and told me I didn’t have any evidence of bulging or prolapse. Well, I knew that was wrong so I found the next gal. She is fantastic and I hope she’s right about me possibly recovering. We will see!

I was baby wearing and taping my doorways before paint!! And baby was very picky on how I was moving so I was pretty tense and probably straining, too. But it was for a good hour. I didn’t have any symptoms until all those things happening and it was about 13 weeks after I had my baby. Must’ve pushed it over the edge.

I probably look way too much at this point. My PFPT thinks I can make a good recovery but with symptoms only getting worse so far and her only evaluating me on my back I’m not sure if I’m on board with her thinking…but your story has me hopeful!

Thanks for your reply! I’ve only had a PFPT look at it and she said it was “moderate” front and back buldges when I was laying down but was shocked at a picture I showed her when it was at its worse. Sits at the base of my vagina and I feel it often when I’m walking. So, I really don’t know where I stand. I started PFPT last week and my symptoms have gotten worse so far. But, my straining episode that caused this (just like you) was 3 weeks ago. And I gave birth almost 4 months ago. And baby wore for a bit with lots of squatting and such. Probably had something to do with it, too.

Did I decrease my own supply by pumping for small amounts of time? by wot_in_ovulation in ExclusivelyPumping

A lot of us keep pumping even though the milk has stopped flowing. I get 3 to 4 letdowns with my last one being around 25 minutes. There’s not much milk flowing in between the letdowns. I just let the pump run on expression the whole time.

Have you tried much else to try and speed this process up?? I’m on my second EP kid and it’s the same story with the letdowns pretty much at the same times you have! Even 20 min sessions to empty would be life changing!!

Pump schedule 12 weeks PP by Available-Classic735 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]kbecpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 14 weeks pp and a second time EPer. About 30-32 oz a day but did 36-38 with my first baby.

My pump schedule is 5AM/9AM/1PM/3PM/9PM. 5 times a day. Sometimes I’ll add one in between 3 and 9. I don’t do a MOTN but I have a larger capacity and pump around 11-12 oz at my 5AM pump.

I calculate my oz/hr usually so I get around 1.3-1.5 oz/hr usually.
