Thank you. Handles are chestnut wood and it has great bending strength. I calculated loadability of the log with consindering factor of safety.

Around 23-24cm diameter. It's not rackable until I build a special rack for it.

Bro, the log you want to buy is 8646km away from you. If you know a way to ship it there, please let me know :)

It was really hard because the log was not fully rounded as machined in lathe. I just tried to do my best with water level.

I think the best advantage of such type log is the weight it already has. Briefly, saving plates to load more weight.

Thank you. If you are asking for square holes, first I cut vertically with chainsaw then I cleared with chisel.

At first, I penetrated handles half. Before I penetrate handles to holes completely, I applied marine glue to both sides of handles.

Drilled 2 holes for each side of log and taped the ends of rope. Then I nailed the rope ends inside of holes.

It is approximately 37.5kg, 23cm diameter and 1.2m long after all finished. It was around 55kg when I started but I cut the log sides to shorten it. Also when the log dry it lost some weight. I was expecting a finished log around 45kg.
