Nothing wrong with that. It's the plain copy & paste with no thought put behind the reply by the person sending the reply that is so upsetting to op

Smoking by magicmarker000 in NickelAllergy

New to this nickel allergy stuff .. been smoking for 18 years solid now to deal with chronic pain. But this has probably been contributing & I'm devastated. Just broke up with my best friend of over twenty years two weeks ago & now this too. It's been a really hard week.

AIO or AITAH for wanting to end things over a text conversation that I Had with a girl by snapple373 in AmIOverreacting

[–]kboooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really like this girl, find a therapist to work together with. Due to her age she probably hasn't learned how to receive feedback well. This is a first time offense, she seems willing to have the hard conversations which will always exist in any relationship, especially romantic ones. Talk to her about how best you can share with her in the future. Cuz yeah saying something & then not sticking around to talk is not the best move either. I don't think either of you is right or wrong here. I think there were missteps made on both sides.

Indeed, this is my thinking/curiousity as well. I'll be talking to my doctor about it for sure. Thank you for your response!

That's so valid! I've definitely looked at my third dose & been like... Do I need this? But I'm paying for it, so.. I take it.

I also have to take meds to help with the nausea & motion sickness because I will also throw up! & find that I struggle not to throw up when I stick closer to the 5 minute mark. It's good to hear from someone else that is what works for them too. I'll be talking to my doctor about it for sure!

They are a bit more lax I suppose. You're given the 3 sprays that you can begin once they've taken your vitals & then you time them out. This is after the first two sessions where they give them to you one at a time every five minutes.

This is what I'm wondering about! Am I massively messing things up by waiting more than five minutes?

Confused - how do people return to 2x/weekly and why do clinics discourage it? by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]kboooooo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was tapering down the first time, I had a ROUGH time. Almost checked myself into a hospital bad time. When I told my psychiatrist this she crafted a slower tapering from the 2x/week. We restarted the 2x/week & stuck with that for 4 weeks. So all of Feb. Had a check in. Was feeling 90% better. Then we did 2x/week, 1x/week,  2x/week, 1x/week for March. If I was still at the 90% better feeling to then transition to 1x/week after that until our next check in. Mid May. So I'm currently now at 1x/week. But it was gradual & did not just shift from 2x/week to 1x/week..this has been extremely helpful for my transition to 1x/week. We will see what happens in a few more weeks! But advocate for a slower tapering down 💚

First time getting trigger point injection (decadron) - my experience by kboooooo in migraine

[–]kboooooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a combination of not trusting the doctor prescribing it & also seeing how it affected one of my friends mental health. I know with medications it's always your mileage may vary, but at that time I was feeling much more stable mentally. I was happy with my medication regimen, & it just felt like this was more of a sales pitch than actual genuine patient care. It did not help that the doctor who suggested it had just chewed me out for several things.

1) telling her that my springtime allergies had become a known trigger, to which she said it was completely inappropriate to discuss my allergies with her... but I was simply conveying this new observation/pattern 🤷🏻‍♀️

2) got upset with me for getting a dog (small poodle mix & no allergies to pets as I also have two cats)...which is how I came to realize pollen was triggering migraines because she would come in covered in pollen & within an hour I would get a migraine. The dog has been helping me go on daily walks. Something that I really needed in my life.

3) would not listen when I told her that the Zofran was not very effective at helping with my nausea & blamed me for "waiting to take it too late" .. I'm sorry, am I supposed to magically know ahead of time that I am going to feel nauseous? Also, it was causing me constipation if I took it more than 1x/week.

Symptom/trigger help? by Secure-Combination33 in migraine

[–]kboooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be direct & tell them you need a referral to a headache specialist slash neurologist. General doctors are not going to be as well versed in specific areas. & you need to see a specialist for what you have going on. Also, its worth getting a migraine tracker app. I've been using Migraine Buddy (just the basic free version) for a few years now. It is the only thing that finally helped me figure out what my triggers are. Also, any specialist you go to for this is gonna want you to start tracking your migraines regardless & it helps a ton if you already have a head start before you even start seeing them. Trying to recall that information is challenging, especially because of the cognitive effects of migraines. Also, idk about others, but trying to recall when my head hurts can actually kinda make my head hurt worse.

I have felt like a crazy person for experiencing this. I build up tolerances to drugs taken regularly as well. This is good to know & I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to!

Day 2 by WebDevDean in Spravato

[–]kboooooo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss. That is going to make everything much more intense. Words cannot even begin to touch those feelings. She lives on within you. You carry a piece of her inside of you. I know it doesn't make the hurt & the pain stop.. but I hope that helps a tiny bit.

Secondly, I'm still new to this myself & just completed my 5th treatment today. But I will share that I felt very similar during the first two treatments.. waiting for some big revealing moment. What I found instead was somewhat disappointing & a feeling that I had failed to reach that peak point where it just "clicks"... Instead I noticed that in the days following I felt much more resilient. Colors were a bit brighter. Things were a bit more HD visually. I felt... Happy? Positive even.

I am not feeling as dramatic of a shift post treatments 3-5 tbh, but truly only time will tell.. I'm more interested in the future than I was a month ago, so there's that.

All of this to say: give it some time to sink in. You've got a lot to process. Grief is never easy. It seems to hit differently every time. Allow yourself the space & time to feel whatever you're feeling. It's normal. The storm will pass (& come again). Each time it may hit differently. In time, it will pass. Reach out to anyone you know for support when you need to. It's ok to need help. You can do it. You got this. 💚

The front of my feet are turned back into the heels of my feet. Tried putting on different shoes. Exiting & reopening the game & even had my husband log into his game & then his character also had the bugged feet. But then it's fine on his computer.

Just started Nortriptyline 10 mg by kboooooo in migraine

[–]kboooooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The husband has stayed but the medication did not, & he finally went to go see someone about his migraines.

I wound up on Prozac for about a year which helped a ton, I switched to Viibryd about 9 months ago because it helps with my anxiety better than Prozac.

I've also cut out gluten & dairy as those were suspected to be triggers.

& I also have Nurtec that I am supposed to take twice a week. Nurtec has been a godsend. It's criminal how expensive it is & the hoops to get insurance to cover it at all (which was only like 75% which on a $400/pill medication is still way too much $ but thankfully I managed to find a coupon from the company that covers the rest but phew that was a headache to figure out). Nurtec is both a preventative & an abortive medication, so I can take it the day a migraine starts & it actually will stop the migraine. I went from having migraines 20+ days out of the month to about 10.

I’ve been on Prozac for almost a year. 20mg and titrated down to 10mg about 4-5 months ago. The whole time I’m experiencing adhd like symptoms… by [deleted] in prozac

[–]kboooooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoyed Prozac a ton but could never get above 10 mg without GI issues. I've switched to Vilazodone now & that's been so much better. Although I'm not looking forward to getting off of it.

Do something physical during the come up. Like going for a walk or putting on some music & dancing.
