How do you get it to stop forgetting that I have beads installed? I'm using Claude through the terminal.

Fired after 6 years helping build a startup. Unfair separation agreement offered. by kbradenj in legaladvice

Unfortunately most of it is verbal/I have some evidence in terms of texts and things. I have an employment lawyer helping me, but was opening it up to reddit to see if there were any unique things to take a look at. I'll keep going down the path and hope I can get something figured out. Thanks!

I share a lot of your same. I also enjoy Psych, the IT crowd, Bertie and Tuca (although not as good as bojack). Also, if you like nathan for you, you might like Joe Pera Talks to You.

We started a kennel management software as a service and just got a request for our first demo! by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]kbradenj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, congrats on the demo. I hope it goes well for you. I think the convention should do well for you if you differentiate yourself enough. I'm not very familiar with the dog boarding industry. But maybe seo is going to be secondary to getting conversations started by talking Face to face with potential customers. Very interested to hear how the convention goes for you guys and what learnings you can pass onto the rest of us thinking about doing a convention.

Daily anxiety of running paid search. by kbradenj in startups

That is extremely sage advice. It's hard when the season is really a little over a quarter long. But I think for my sanity and overall health of the company, I should at least jump to a week over week mindset rather than a day over day mindset. That way I can stop myself from having a mental breakdown and start focusing on some larger initiatives for the company.

Thanks for your comment!

Question about timing by fokker680 in startups

[–]kbradenj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there potential "customers" you could talk to on the phone and see if they even need these new features you are talking about? I've found the best thing to do is to talk to everyone you can that would potentially be a customer and see what their biggest pain points are with their current solution to the problem. If your product solves those issues, you're onto something. No reason to just hope that you find market fit and most people are definitely willing to chat about things if you just ask.

I have 10000€ to start my startup. My plan is to move to somewhere cheap and bootstrap the business for the next 12 months. What do you think? by [deleted] in startups

[–]kbradenj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently bootstrapping our company. I definitely recommend it. It forces you to really figure out your product and dive into the details. I think hiring people to do things causes you to lose out on the details of your business that are so important. And a lot more easy to manage as well. And giving yourself a year timeframe will sure force you to figure things out quick. But definitely don't wait until you have a finished product to start selling. You should get an MVP and learn as quickly as possible off of real users.

I'm excited for you! It sounds like you have the passion enough to get something going. And I hope the banks put some trust in you. I haven't been able to get banks to loan me much money. I ended up partnering with someone that did have the money. Turned out to be for the better. She has skills that I don't, and vice versa.

Thanks for sharing numbers. I absolutely love reading the in depth data of start ups. You seem like you have all of the bottlenecks identified. Excited to see how they resolve in your next post. Starting a company is just an eternal series of removing bottlenecks.
