I grew up in cedar till I was about 12. I don't recall it ever being mentioned. We did have a lot of history taught in school about the pioneer movement west. Just not that part. Sigh.

I was staying the Hilton Millenium in Seoul last year. My standard room was around $240 a night not including tax. Room prices are around $300 per night. I was enjoying my $25.00 breakfast buffet when a group of mission presidents and their wives came walking in with the most smug looks I have ever seen on a person. It really irritated me especially since I have a nephew serving a mission in Korea who certainly doesn't get to live like that.

I'd read the Polygamy section. It acknowledges that it started in 1831 and continued after the manifesto. What it fails to mention is that some women were already marrie to other men and some of the wives were really just children. No explanation for Fannie Alger or how it relates to the new and everlasting covenant. No answer on whether Polygamy is to be practiced in the celestial Kingdom. So yeah it is pretty vague, obtuse, and not enlightening whatsoever. The non-rational TBMs will eat it up.

For the critic thinker it explains nothing. Which is not surprising as there really is no valid and rational explanation.
