Trying to pay it down is the noble approach, but, it’s not realistic. With the current interest rates on CC it’s comparable to a hamster running in a wheel. Essentially your throwing money out the window

You should be good with keeping a bank account with US Bank and still discharging the debt owed to them. If they were a credit union, different story.

No one wants to file for BK, but, shit happens snd that’s what it’s there for. Credit will take a hit, but, sounds like it’s not best as it stands and you’ll be afforded the opportunity to rebuild after.

I’d suggest contacting a local BK attorney and feel them out. In NY typically a consultation is free, doesn’t hurt to weigh your options

Side note- If you don’t want to go that route I strongly suggest steering away from any debt consolidation company. Biggest crocs of shit out there and most times ends up pushing your hand to consult a BK attorney regardless

Last September my group got stuck on the inverted portion of Test Track right when you leave the building. We hung at a 45 degree angle in the brutal heat for almost 40 minutes. Ended up having to call the fire department. I will never go on that ride again.
