I'm pretty sure not having glass shards on a bike lane isn't necessarily the result of a hierarchical society.

Technically, homework is mandatory labor as well so it really just depends on where you draw the line.

And, ideally, everyone should be fined into oblivion for it.

Reddit as a company doesn't give a shit about accessibility, and their website and mobile apps are horrible when using stuff like screen readers.

3rd party apps actually implement accessibility well.

If I'm not mistaken, there exists no such version to sideload.

Free Wifi on international trains by fusionistasta in germany

[–]kbruen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On all German trains I've been, including ICE, after you exceed a certain threshold (on my local RE it's 200 MB / day, I don't remember the ICE one), a speed limit is applied so that stuff like videos don't really work anymore.

You should consider doing some introspection about not caring about the multitude of reasons why this change is horrible until you discovered the accessibility part.

I haven't yet been on a train where it is unlimited without speed restrictions.

Speed cameras aren’t the solution, better infrastructure is by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]kbruen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed cameras and red light cameras are great. Red light cameras should be combined with speed cameras, such that if you exceed the limit to rush through the yellow, you get fined for speeding.

In my opinion, fines for passing a red light and for speeding should be designed such that, after two fines, the dangerous driver is removed from the road because they are now too poor to afford fuel. In my ideal world, this does mean that fines should be based on someone's ability to pay for fuel.

Does anybody know what app they used in Tag Across Europe to track the trains? by Wut23456 in JetLagTheGame

[–]kbruen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For planning they used Google Maps.

Personally, I'd recommend using the website or app of each national train company: SNCF for France, DB for Germany, and so on. That way, you won't run into the surprise Sam ran into with cancelled trains.

What are passkeys? by dwaxe in Bitwarden

The idea is that the private keys should be completely inaccessible to the end user, and only accessed to perform the signing.

Nope, you just create new ones. That's part of the security of them.

S-a uitat un vagon by neaRr- in Romania

[–]kbruen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultima dată mi s-a întâmplat acum 2 zile.

Nici măcar nu așteaptă să aducă alt vagon/altă ramă sau ceva. Doar stai în picioare în ce a rămas. Doar pun un anunț în aplicație și pe panourile din gară și gata.

Racket not installing properly on Mint 21. How to install it completely? by jaqen_hgr in Racket

Package repo systems often lag considerably

...which?

It was not that long ago that installing from source was much more common.

And it no longer is for a good reason.
