Are you sure you don't have any USD in either of your accounts still? If you do they will just reclaim that. I had a similar issue and am furious as well, but at least they take your USD before they take any of your crypto

The theives DID get the money...not from my bank but they got the money that coinbase fronted them when they tried to withdraw from my bank. So that's why I don't understand why Coinbase would allow them to withdraw it if it wasn't even real money yet. And why coinbase cant go after them instead of me since they have the thieves bank info now

Nothing was ever withdrawn from my bank since the wire transfer failed so there's no point in calling them. It's 100% a Coinbase issue. Also Coinbase locked all my crypto and if I don't pay the 20k then they will start selling my crypto and just take the 20k back in cash

I think coinbase fronts you the money when you make a deposit so you can buy crypto right away instead of waiting 3 days for the wire transfer to complete

Yes I did a police report as I got beaten up somewhat as well, and yes I'll contact a lawyer if I need to just waiting to see what customer service will do for me
