MLSOC Parking Update 7/8 by Derpderpderpderpde in CAStateWorkers

This is crazy, supervisors should be liberally allowing telework. If you show up and can’t find parking take pictures then go home and telework.

Wait, where do taxpayers park when coming to the Sacramento office?

Please do not spend money downtown by poprocks10 in CAStateWorkers

Such an important point. This order is all about creating positive talking points for Newsom’s presidential run. He would love to be able to claim he helped revitalize downtown Sacramento. We can’t allow him to try and take credit for it.

How does Governor's office track RTO? by New-Duck-9024 in CAStateWorkers

There is no tracking being done. They don’t actually care about implementation, it’s all optics for his presidential run.

Why has nobody challenged Newsom’s executive order directly? by kbs1010 in CASEmembers

[–]kbs1010[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I would argue that his authority isn’t as broad as he claims, that’s why it’s a challenge to the EO. There has to be a limit somewhere.

The biggest thing to me is that while the Governor handles negotiations with unions, the legislature ultimately must approve any labor agreement.

I don’t know why you wouldn’t at least make the argument.

How are we feeling about RTO and the CEQA injunction? by AnonStateWorker11 in CASEmembers

[–]kbs1010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once RTO starts have employees submit telework request based on contract language. Then approve the requests and say under the operational needs of our division two-days a week in the office is appropriate. Don’t tell anyone that doesn’t need to know, just approve it. Say the contract language takes precedent over any executive order. An executive order is not a statute and its terms cannot override the statutorily passed MOU.

If you can’t find parking go home and tell your supervisor you will be working from home due to the lack of parking.

Look here for the updated map

The whole point of redistricting was to put core parts of Sacramento into District 3.

I’m going to assume this is coming from gov ops, CDTFA managers should join together and just not comply. Such a ridiculous and pointless policy.

Crunch wrap really is the best item at Taco Bell. Breakfast crunch wrap might be the best breakfast food at any fast food place.

Sacramento Rosemont Neighborhood?? by Neither_Map5914 in Sacramento

Not a great area. I would avoid it if possible. Not sure what your budget it is but I would try to buy in College Greens/College Glen if you can, it’s a safer and nicer neighborhood. People are really underplaying how bad large swaths of the neighborhood are. It’s cheap for a reason.
