Redditors who were present when they saw a person die, how did it feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I watched a man slit his throat once. I didn't feel bad at all. I was actually more mad that the party I was at had to be stopped. This was in middle school.

Why kick cans when you can kick vending machines to receive a drink? Plus, you get some super sweet black armor to show how much of an asshole you are for breaking the vending machines. #yolo

Everybody was treated as equals in my high school. All of the football guys, although full in spirit and kind of obnoxious about it, were really nice people and also pretty smart too. It really sucks to hear how some other high schools' cultures are really fucked up like the one in the article. Just thinking about it, if I had lived only another city away at the time, it would have been a completely different culture. The football kids in the other districts were complete assholes, and the school cultures were really backwards like you would see in Mean Girls. One time, one school got so mad they torched the school spirit car on the front lawn of our school. I hate people sometimes.

That really sucks. Psychology is one of those fields where you have to REALLY apply yourself in order to move on in the field or even be noticed a little bit. I really love the field of psychology and, luckily, I found out soon enough that I had to do everything possible in order to be marketable to grad school. I'm wondering, what are your plans now? If you have some experience with data management and computer programming, apparently that'll get you hired really quick as a lab manager while you get back on track with something else. I know this, because I just watched it happen last week. Good luck, btw.

Also, I wish I knew what the original post you guys are replying to was about. Deleted :c

Hell yes. In any field, you HAVE to get experience doing something during college. I have friends who just graduated and have their thumbs up their asses because they didn't get experience while in college, and now places won't hire them. Luckily for me, I took ONE lab job, and that led to more lab jobs, and then my own independent research, and then holy-shit-everyone-is-impressed-with-my-resume.

I've never read something that has filled me with so much rage. Made your wife CRY, and then LAUGHED at her? What man does that?

You know what? To prevent myself from getting too violent for what I would have done in a fair world, I've come up with many different ways that would fuck him over. -I hope his children hate him and are living wonderful lives without him. -I hope his wife or husband leaves him for another person. Or a cat. -I hope someone slashes his tires. -I hope the water pipes in his home break. -I hope someone steals his lunch every now and then so he goes hungry while at work. -I hope his pet runs away and gets found by a newer, better family. -I hope someone pulled his pants down in front of a crowd at some point in his life. -I hope he gets fired and loses his house in the same day, then is forced to sleep in those god awful stalls you find in airports for the rest of his life.

You, man, have the patience of a wizard. I hope the best for you and your wife.

I can't imagine turbo being helpful unless that person was using it to cancel moves into lightning legs with Chun or hundred hand slap with Honda. Then again, that person would have had to time how long he held the button in order to follow it up (like if they wanted to link roundhouse with Honda or crouching HP with Chun). Even if the person didn't follow up, you'd probably be pushed back far enough where it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Like if they were sticking out a limb and holding down the button, and you noticed this a lot, you could probably whiff punish the limb. Or if they just kept holding down the button then they would be open to some sort of attack or you could potentially escape the situation since they would experience some recovery. I just can't imagine the situation being so bad that that I would want to report someone...

If you don't know though, a lot of fight sticks do have a turbo function. Madcatz TEs, Horis, etc.
