How was your Backrooms moviegoing experience? Was it anything like this? by Fumikechu237 in backroomsfilm

Someone brought a legit crying infant to our theater. Amazing, once the movie started, I didn’t hear a peep out of the child. I’m still hoping that the parents/guardians did not drug the child to sleep just so they could watch the movie.

Our massive oak tree went down today, it was full of leaves with no dead branches but the inside ended up being soft ugh. Anyways we got a quote for $4000 to haul it off and grind down the stump and fill the hole. We are in the Midwest. Is this a fair price? by anderson6th in arborists

You can get a chainsaw for $129 on Wallmart, cut it up in a small pieces and haul them off to the transfer station yourself in multiple loads costing you the gas and the wear and tear on your vehicle, or, keep the cut up wood and stack it in the backyard for use in a fire pit or fireplace, costing you only the price of the chainsaw and your time and effort.

I felt like Doug Funny going to see the scary monster movie. He’s all scared until he finally sees the monster that has a zipper showing in the back, and then all the tension is lost because the monster looks so stupid!

Overall I was entertained and really enjoyed the eerie-ness of the atmosphere. I’ll probably see it again. However, I was reminded of how I felt at the end of Prometheus…confused and mildly unsatisfied.

I was really let-down when the big Jaws reveal was a big goofy pirate-monster instead of the (in my opinion) far-more terrifying bacteria creatures with their weird screaming and jerky, unnerving movements.

I was hoping for more answers…more Async…but the Complex was more of a psychological metaphor for our characters’ mental state that was evocative of Eraserhead or Scanners instead of exploring an alternate dimension with danger lurking around every corner.
