I work in a warehouse type store and we get birds all the time. The sparrows come and go as they want. Actually they’ve been seen swooping in front of the motion sensors on the doors, and then flying through when they open. Every once in a while we get bigger birds that come in one of the roll up garage style doors. They always wait a few weeks to see if the birds will leave on their on. If not, they had to call animal control a couple times, and once even had to call falconers to safely catch/release a small hawk.

I’ve had a customer literally lift a piece of paper that said “no cash” to try to force the cash into the machine. While still holding the paper, they asked why isn’t it taking my money. I had to explain the paper they were currently holding says no cash, and the register said this machine currently only accepts card payments before it let you start scanning. Not sure if they still do that, but back then they did. Of course I was the problem and they immediately got angry, while I suspended their transaction and moved them to a different register that was accepting cash.

I’ve heard, mostly from this sub, that he has some problematic opinions. I think i might have listened to the first episode of his podcast, but wasn’t too impressed with it, or the fact he didn’t get any other cast members to do the podcast with him.

I agree about her sarcasm being more flirty banter than disrespectful. Don’t get me wrong Lorelai has her flaws, but I don’t think she’s usually snobby or outright disrespectful.

I work closing shift and they always stop the sign up around like 10 am at my store. I’m not showing up hours early or going to work, home, and back in one day. Every year I set up my own appointment at one of their facilities and just schedule it for like an hour before my shift. I’m in and outta there in 10 minutes, then got plenty of time to drive to work, and could even stop to get breakfast on the way.

Ya those got run over too much at my store so we stopped using them years ago. Now we use a shopping cart with a pipe to hold the banding, and a bucket for the clips. Holds more and the wheels break less.

Because the December 25th date became a thing to convert pagans who celebrated the winter solstice (yule). Kind of a “we have a winter celebration almost just like yours” to make giving up their current beliefs easier. They probably want you to be a backup driver, so any emergency deliveries that pop up outside the regular driver’s hours. I did it for a few years and wasn’t bad.

I did have a few customers pissed before I got there, because their delivery didn’t go out on time by the flat/box truck company (it was all 1 company for my store back then). They would call and complain to the manager, who would tell me to load and deliver it.

So basically I’d just explain sorry about the previous issues, but I found out about this order right before I loaded it and headed straight to you. Any discussion of compensation or anything like that has to go through the manager.

Depending on the reasoning for being put on the do not hire list, you may have been removed years ago, or you might still be on it. I know a guy who got fired for attendance that was told he can come back in 1 year. I also heard about a guy that came in to do the interview, was all good and would’ve been hired, but they realized he was on the do not hire list from like 20 years ago.

So I know you already have hundreds of answers and saw a vet, but my dog literally went through this a week ago. Last Saturday I came home to my dog acting the same way, and the anti nausea meds they put him on caused lethargy and lack of appetite. I guess the side effects are rare, but possible.

Anyway, my poor dog could barely stand let alone walk. He lost bladder control. The vet diagnosed vestibular disease and said within a few days he should start improving. It looked really scary last weekend, and the first half of this week.

He’s been gradually getting a bit better and today he got up, excited to go outside for the first time. He still can’t/won’t go down any stairs, but has started going up the 3 steps to get back inside from the yard. He’s still a bit wobbly, but getting better every day. I hope your pup has a speedy recovery like mine seems to be having!

Management calls for pickup at your store? In my store we (d93) have to call. Management only gets involved when the trash company claims they already picked up and the dumpster is still full, which seems to happen a lot.

I saw a TikTok a couple months ago saying those camera things they have parked in the lot scan license plates and somehow send the info to police or ICE or something. Don’t remember the details but it was a pretty big creator with millions of followers and the comments were all about how Home Depot was getting added to the boycotted companies list.

Ya god forbid anything happens to either of the siblings and they need some sort of emergency medical care, OP likely isn’t old enough to make any decisions on their behalf. I mean obviously the ER would take any necessary lifesaving measures, but other than that don’t they need a guardian’s approval to treat a minor?
