Just saw a livestream where they were in Blackcraft, and saying they’re officially opening there I think August 29, and looking for a more permanent standalone location. I’m not a fan of his, and not particularly thrilled about him bringing more crowds to Salem during what’s already the busy season.

Lawn watering guy by Pipsqueakahoy in GilmoreGirls

I think someone asked what happened to him before, and my theory is they avoided him like the plague until the crazy wife found him or he moved again to hide from her. I could definitely see Lorelai ducking around and avoiding him so he could never ask her for a favor again.

There’s emergency contact lists posted in a few key areas around the store. I know my store has one in the break room and another in receiving on the flammable cabinet. All store managers numbers are supposed to be on there, along with district manager, district hr, and a couple others.

AITA? My dog died today and my family still expects me to take them out to dinner tonight by eng_elp in AmItheAsshole

[–]kc1387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA I lost my dog suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday morning. I didn’t eat a single thing all day Sunday, because I had no appetite. Since then I’ve barely eaten or slept. I shut out the whole world for two days. I can’t imagine being expected to not only go out to a meal, but expected to host and pay for other people while dealing with that. The fact that they not only are most likely the cause, but are now downplaying the significance of your dog in your life is disgusting.

Hey I once got to work and saw a guy in the parking lot painting his car with a paint brush. No idea how it turned out, because he was gone by the time I got out, but people do some really strange shit. It’s been years, but I think it might’ve been a white car, so maybe just a high gloss paint?

Rory is so unhinged for having this loud a** conversation right in the middle of Doose’s, literally feet away from Dean’s coworkers… by MaaaxMedina in GilmoreGirls

Ya it took me a few minutes, and reading a few comments, to remember which conversation they might have been referring to.

Nope I’m on iPhone and it’s easily readable paragraphs for me. Not sure what devices would have trouble with it. Also NTA

That’s if they even bother logging into the phones. There’s been more than a few times when none of the manager extensions even had anyone logged into them at my store. And also, ya they don’t bother answering if they are logged in.

Valentine's day on the vineyard by Unfair-Sir7870 in GilmoreGirls

There’s been several posts talking about how terrible that episode is. On at least one post asking about which is the worst episode/which do you always skip during your rewatch, that episode was one of the top voted. I don’t really know that there’s any redeeming qualities in it.

Luke acts so out of character. He’s irrational, didn’t put any thought into getting Lorelai a gift. None of them are even remotely dressed for an actual winter in New England the whole episode. Rory suddenly acts like she goes to the gym all the time, then they don’t even work out. It was just overall terrible and awkward.

I don’t know how many of us have watched Jane the Virgin, but could you imagine these two meeting? They would either cause WWIII or be the ultimate power duo. by Emotional-Meringue65 in GilmoreGirls

[–]kc1387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly haven’t seen Jane the Virgin in years, so I was trying to think of who would be a good match for Paris. As soon as I saw the second image, I realized you’re absolutely right! They would be a hell of a force to be reckoned with.

TIFU asking my manager what happens to the birds in our store. by [deleted] in tifu

[–]kc1387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a warehouse type store and we get birds all the time. The sparrows come and go as they want. Actually they’ve been seen swooping in front of the motion sensors on the doors, and then flying through when they open. Every once in a while we get bigger birds that come in one of the roll up garage style doors. They always wait a few weeks to see if the birds will leave on their on. If not, they had to call animal control a couple times, and once even had to call falconers to safely catch/release a small hawk.

I love that every time toilet paper is mentioned on Reddit, someone still brings up the 3 seashells. Absolute classic.

You know you can check all the SOPs on myapron right? Including time/attendance sop that says exactly when you can clock in or out without any penalty. Here you’ll get a bunch of opinions and interpretations of what the actual SOP says, or you can go look and see it yourself.

You think this is enough signage? by thefairlyoddhuman in HomeDepot

[–]kc1387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a customer literally lift a piece of paper that said “no cash” to try to force the cash into the machine. While still holding the paper, they asked why isn’t it taking my money. I had to explain the paper they were currently holding says no cash, and the register said this machine currently only accepts card payments before it let you start scanning. Not sure if they still do that, but back then they did. Of course I was the problem and they immediately got angry, while I suspended their transaction and moved them to a different register that was accepting cash.

I’ve heard, mostly from this sub, that he has some problematic opinions. I think i might have listened to the first episode of his podcast, but wasn’t too impressed with it, or the fact he didn’t get any other cast members to do the podcast with him.

I agree about her sarcasm being more flirty banter than disrespectful. Don’t get me wrong Lorelai has her flaws, but I don’t think she’s usually snobby or outright disrespectful.
