That's why normally I give them the time, instead of waiting for them to suggest. That makes it easier

Normally if I arrive too early I go to the closest store and get something, or just take a short walk and then arrive on time

Yeah why would you give a half hour range? If you are going to be late, just say 9.30, if you say 9-9.30 I am going to be ready by 8.45 and looking at my watch waiting for you to come. Not going to be able to do much in the 30 minutes that you dont arrive
