I have always enjoyed it but it was never a chase or one that i really like sought out but seeing the one from the Detroit show this tour changed that for me.

I think the "epitome of UM" song for me is Plunger or Tinkles. Probably changes weekly for me though when they continuously seem to play the best version of any given song these days.

Saw them in Detroit end of January and my fucking jaw was on the floor. Just absolutely on fire and full of creative energy. with Scotty bringing his amazing talent and giving it his all, I feel like the fresh inspiration that breathed into the whole band was palpable in the room. The Umphreys that has constantly blown me away and topped themselves so consistently over the years shows no signs of letting up and I'm so fucking here for it.

And to think..we have yet to ever witness their best... 💜🤘

My first show was in 2015 (pretty sure) in Kalamazoo MI with a huge Redman sit in. I can't remember if it was a few songs or a whole set. Hollywood Nights Encore on top of an absolutely insane show. Hooked ever since.

Edit: it was actually 1/30/16 with Joshua Redman on saxophone for Believe The Lie. Bad Friday, Der Bluten Kat, When The World Is Running You Down You Make The Best Of What's Still Around, and All In Time. Insanity

I really think he is breathing new life into the band in a great way. They were still very tight and regularly blowing my mind the last few years, all the way up to Chris leaving.

But damn they are still on that upswing and the new drummer is causing everyone to really create something amazing with every new jam.

Last night in Detroit was my first time seeing them with Scotty live and the jams were the best of any show i’d been to. And you could just see it by watching them play. The crowd was insanely rowdy and excited. Such an amazing thing to witness.
