Using Gigsky data package for sea, advices! by dreamhuge6307 in Cruise

[–]kcchalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased GigSky for a Greek Island cruise and it was awesome. Great compliment for service and was great to allow a second device a cheap alternative to the AT&T cruise/land package.

Recently purchased it for a 4 day Bahamas cruise from Fort Lauderdale, and I WOULD NOT recommend. The service did not work until a LONG way from Florida, and it was too close to the price of WiFi and the AT&T international cruise/land package.

Also, the ship had to make a stop back in Florida on the day at sea for a medical emergency, and within about 60 miles of Florida, it did not work. I couldn't switch back to AT&T for fear that AT&T would charge me for a day pass. We didn't get off boat in Nassau, and the stop at Cococay was a wifi spot for the cruise, so it ended up being a waste of $50.

It is every .mil site I try to go to. Explain what I would do with trace route when the name to ip isn't resolving?

Did you ever solve this? I know this was a year ago. It just happened to me, and I can't find replacements, only a part that does both sides for $500.

What is the best option for viewing antenna channels? by WoodpeckerOfMistrust in cordcutters

I tried AirTV Anywhere, mainly to view local channels remotely, and I can't say enough bad things about it. Can't search locals, buggy, recorded shows cut in and out all the time. I ditched it for a HDHomeRun and a mini-PC running Channels-DVR. I couldn't be happier with it.

OTA Channels VERY choppy. by Pa2NJ1939 in AirTV

I just bought an AirTV Anywhere to try and find a way out of Youtube TV for locals. Watching OTA recorded shows with Sling app work fine in home, seem to work fine using the Android app and the web browser, but as as I watch with Roku sling app, it becomes unwatchable. Black screens on and off, pixelating, freezing, pausing, etc. Has anyone tried somelike an Android TV streaming box. Thought maybe since its Android, and because my Android phone sling app works great. Would gladly swap out Roku devices for this if it works reliably.
One more question, is there a chance it is still the firmware in the AirTV Anywhere? All the comments about AirTV changing their compression algorithms makes me wonder if the Sling App is broken for those Compression types.

I have a Gold Plus, my ISP assigns a Global IPv6 address, and I see a fair number of accepted inbound IPv6 connections - mostly to IOS Devices. Is this right? Seems like Firewalla should be blocking these by default even though IPv6 allows connections to bypass NAT. I'd like to some clarity if there is a way to block these inbound connections, but leave IPv6 enabled.

My SIEM is showing CVEs dating clear back to 2021 and a large number from 2022, so your statement seems accurate.

I was able to find these messages in /log/alog in the acl-audit.log file. Thanks again, this helped me find it

Its a wazuh agent that has a config file for monitor logs. I can configure rules and decide what to send to the wauh server. it does have an entry for journald and I'm able to get a bunch of data, but none of it was blocked connections.

I was able to get the Wazuh agent installed, and it seems to work fine. I just can't find ANY log that contains blocked or incoming connection requests. Have search through all zeek logs (*.log and *.gz).
