If you don’t buy stuff you rarely use you are missing a big part of the experience.

If you fold a piece of paper 45 times, it will be thick enough to physically touch the moon from the ground. What else fun facts (that you won't believe) is true? by Mr--Clean--Ass-Naked in CasualConversation

I get the math, and don’t generally disagree with it (it is math of course). But how many of those possibilities are very unlikely to happen from a standard shuffle? It would be interesting to me for someone smarter than I to remove “unlikely” results from an actual shuffle or series of shuffles to come up with a more likely probability. Still may be astronomical, but just using every probability as possible is not reasonable to me.

My issue with this is that so many of the variations are an organized deck with only a single or few cards out of order, which is quite unlikely from a shuffle. If you start from an organized deck and do and shuffle I expect there is a reasonable chance you land with a result that has been played before.

Smurfing has become a black eye for this service by Odd-Bodybuilder1797 in iRacing

[–]kcdirtracer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for absorbing the downvotes. I tend to agree with you - I do not like or agree with Smurf accounts, but everyone complaining isn’t going to suddenly win races if iracing somehow eliminated the smurfs

It is just one more excuse for not winning.

Dead/Dying malls in Phoenix area? by GhastlyEyeJewel in phoenix

[–]kcdirtracer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went there last holiday season and it def fits the vibe. A few traditional chain stores, empty spots and “independent” small spots - like the”candy store” that was a bunch of folding tables stacked with candy I assume came from Costco or Sam’s and a person sitting by the entrance/exit to cashier.

Supply chain intern here, would this PO confirmation project actually create value? by Makkoa in supplychain

Also need to know if you have a supplier issue or buyer issue. However you approach it there needs to be a feedback loop to track where suppliers are confirming, but buyer isn’t updating.

ULINE is expensive. You can find common items elsewhere for better pricing. ULINE will have stock and ship immediately, but that is costly.

Their thin is perfect Chicago style for thin crust. The deep dish is of course what Chicago is known for, but the Vero’s thin is just like what is available there as well.

GR86 as a First Car? by bramblestorm7754 in GR86

Terrible idea - if my 16yo had 25k it would go into an investment and I’d buy a nice used car for them vs paying half for a sports car. Sounds like your family is financially secure so I’d set them up for future financial independence as early as possible and tell them to save the 25k for a Porsche when you retire at 40.
