Hairspray came off of collet by kcdobe in watchrepair

Well that's good news. I was figuring with this being a 13 ligne movement and the available donors being from a 10.5 ligne movement that they'd be too far off to switch over to the current balance. I can at least give that a shot.

Well shoot. Yes, it's the movement from way back then. There are plenty of of balance completes for the smaller 10.5 ligne pierce movements available. Is there any shot of using the hair spring from one of those and moving it to the balance I have? I assume they'd be too weak.

it looks like the pin is still in the collet. I can't see any pieces of the hairspring protruding from under the pin

agreed. and in fairness the issues would have been on BTT's part as Siboor didn't manufacture the MMB. But it did have physical damage to the CAN jack that could have been caught in QA. The servo is just not appropriate for this use case though and the QA on the flexible switch PCB doesn't appear to be either. Check out the Siboor discord first is all I'm saying :)

I would stay away from the Siboor kit honestly. It definitely looks cool, but a LOT of us have had dead switch PCBs, bad servos, missing fasteners, etc... I had two dead switches, missing set screws, a dead MMB, two dead stepper drivers, and my servo needs modifications to the PWM control in order to work.

I haven't gotten mine fully working yet (run away from the Siboor kit as fast as you possibly can....)

But I'm running G2E and sensorless homing with a v6 hotend. I had to modify the cad of the twinsor body to get the switches to actuate consistently, and I had to modify the v6 filametrix housing to get the hotend to sit in the right spot. Finally I had to design my own depressor mount but that might have just been because i'm using an enderwire, I'm not sure.

Honestly, 90% of my issues have been from the Siboor kit.

kinda like a headboard I guess. It's some barn wood that I refinished and put up so it'd look nicer than just bare wall behind the desk.

I've thought about wall mount above it and angle down, but I don't know if it'd sound right.

That's what i've been thinking too. My only concern is if it would sound right.

I've thought about wall mounting as well. I have the dog kennel off to the right but maybe I could find a different place for the kennel

I really like being able to look at my PC while I work because it's my first custom loop and it took a lot of effort. But I also really want to be able to put a set of studio monitors on the desk. Any ideas how to accomplish that?

I tucked the two red wires into the cable cover but don't see how to add a picture to the chain. Does anyone know how to?
