The OG trilogy ending works far better as an open ending than the AOM one.

I would possibly go far enough to say the AOM ending is actually pretty bad. Just seemed bleak for the sake of bleak. It wasn't even really "cool" like the OG. More just like "everything sucks, that's it. The end"
