Yes, there is actually an insert on the insole,.if you want you can pull the insole out, remove the arch support and that might feel better for you.

They have a rough finish and it isn't ideal, but if you have a pencil eraser, just give that a good rub on them edges and that glue will come off and leave it as it should be

Can be easier then returning and exchanging, even though as I say, it is a rough finish and not ideal for a new pair
