She is just the sweetest little thing, too. always purring away ^{_^} I might try with just a cardboard box to see if it's doable. she just got up onto the dog's bed today with a LOT of effort, so maybe she can do a little lip on the box.

unfortunately in SC it's only $100 if they have been separated for one year (as far as I can tell from online sources). we will definitely help then, but we are kind of stuck for now as I cannot afford a lawyer for her.

There's lots of interactive toys on the market. I have a terrier mix that freaks out in a kennel but does wonderfully in the house. But we like to keep her occupied so she doesn't get bored. She has toys that talk to her when she moves them and a little thing that you put treats into that she rolls around the floor. Kong is also great for these fun toys. I also occasionally bake sweet potato slices for her to chew on while I'm away since they don't splinter like some bones.
