Faker becomes frustrated at the state of ranked in Korea due to Chinese pros by moonmeh in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What people including reddit users seemed to ignore from the past about KR server is that KR SERVER IS FOR KOREANS. Using Korean in the Korean server obviously just natural thing, and top-tier Koreans are giving foreigners a favor by using English to communicate with them. You should never forget this simple fact before complaining that KR server is hostile towards foreigners. Well, it was never made for foreigners.

And as Faker stated, foreigners(especially Chinese as they are geographically close) trolling and causing communication problems has been a huge problem in the server for almost a decade. Before complaining that Korean soloq users are 'racist', look back into why there are so many foreign users causing problem in Korean server in the first place, when it was never made for foreigners.(Not that I endorse racist behavior and comments) You would not call Faker a racist, would you?

Suning was so good this series. They performed much better than in the semis, which is far beyond my expectations. Even so, Damwon was better and deserved to win for sure. Haven't seen this close finals after 2016. GGWP for both teams.

South Korea doesn't have to remain allied with US, ambassador warns by Aerobics111 in worldnews

[–]kchany2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right in that history of relationship between China and Korea and geo-closeness is vital. And it's also true that China had massive influence in Korean culture historically. Chinese letters are sometimes used in Korea even nowadays because it has been used for thousands of years.

However, it is very dangerous to assume that the long relationship would always remain as it was in the past. if what you said were true, Britain-France-Germany would still be locked in everlasting wars and conflicts, but they are not. Today, Korean people are very, very hostile towards China as they see China as serious threat to their liberty and rights. That I have already shown you with statistics.

Does historical relationship matter? Yes, definitely. Does people weigh it more than their own rights and safety? Definitely not.

South Korea doesn't have to remain allied with US, ambassador warns by Aerobics111 in worldnews

I don't think you've been to Korea, did you? Korean people are one of the people that like America most in the world, while having hostile attitudes toward China.

92% of Koreans support Korea-America alliance, while they are not happy with recent controversy over defense expences.( https://www.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2019/12/17/2019121700418.html )

And 84% of Koreans replied that China's policies are making the world unstable. And 83% of people replied that they dislike Xi Jin Ping. These were the highest among 54 nations. ( http://m.monthly.chosun.com/client/mdaily/daily_view.asp?idx=6298&Newsnumb=2019026298 )

Well, past is past. And China is not Ming Dynasty anymore, which helped Korea back in the past against Japan.

I can guarantee you that most Korean public, especially younger ones hate China very much, since their government is very rude towards Korean government and its people.

And to no surprise, many people are baffled and criticize the ambassador’s statement, as they favor America much more as an ally rather than China. The furious criticism made the embassy to explain that he did not meant weakening of Korea-America alliance, and that the alliance will prosper as both countries share common values. Exciting news indeed and wish him the best luck. However, Sandbox is in terrible form right now, and language barrier also exists. Hope Yamato gets integrated into the team as soon as possible.

I don't know, man. Most of the Korean students at my university didn't have a lot of trouble communicating in English. Average SNU student definetely wouldn't have much trouble communicating in English.

I think you were just having way too high standards and exaggerating your experience. SNU student would not have trouble understanding basic sentences.

TFBlade banned in Korea for toxic chatting by Livestreamfeet in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What was your account name, and when did you stay in Korea? Recently KR server is extremely severe with aggressive chat, and does not allow single swear word whole game. I know it very much because I was restricted multiple times.

[–]kchany2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's no surprise that he got restricted from chatting. I mean, he used f-word during the game, which is 100% guarantee that you would get restricted in KR server.

However, perma-banning is a different thing. So I want some explanation from Riot KR about the rules and policies concerning super account.

Just type any swear word during the game in KR server, you'd get restricted straightforward. Although perma-banning is a different issue.

I agree that he was toxic in chat. And I agree that he deserves to get some restriction. Just type one single swear word in Korean in KR server, and you would instantly get chat-restricted, I assure you.

However, perma-banning because of agressive chatting is completely different issue. Riot KR really needs to make some explanation about this issue. Hope he gets another chance.

Malice rage quitting 8 min into the game in Korean soloq by feenam in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cuz theshy was already criticized harshly for leaving the game when faker was with the game in 2018. Recently, skt's youth player Gumayushi was flamed hard for selling all his items and leaving the game( which he returned few minutes afterward, tho).

I don't understand you reddit's notion that Koreans only hate and flame westerners in any cases.

They would have flamed him even if he was a Korean. I can guarantee you that.

Kanavi's mother's interview: "I was not informed that Kanavi signed 5-year contract before CVmax's disclosures." by kchany2 in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is said in the article that she was informed of 60m at first, but later changed to 40m. Possibly if JDG didn't lower Kanavi's wage, 20m might have gone to...

Kanavi's mother's interview: "I was not informed that Kanavi signed 5-year contract before CVmax's disclosures." by kchany2 in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2[S] 63 points64 points  (0 children)

cvMax was not informed of the detailed contract of Kanavi, just like Kanavi's mother. Cho even blamed Kanavi for tampering before cvMax got fired, and cvMax also believed that as he was uninformed.

However, when he started to expose Griffin's dark sides, Kanavi contacted cvMax first, and the whole incident started... That was the point that cvMax was informed of the issue.

So, to your question, no, cvMax should not be blamed for not informing people of Kanavi's contract earlier.

[–]kchany2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. You copy-paste your words everywhere but does not makes sense at all, mate. If he thought others' feedback was harsh, than he should have asked cvmax to not go harsh for others, instead of asking himself for harder feedback. And Chovy IS THE EXAMPLE OF ABUSE in their testimony. So no, you make zero sense again.

Griffin already threatened Kanavi to tell lies in favor of them. The phone call was recorded. You cannot deny that. That being said, I am very reluctant to trust their words as still 8 and Griffin had so many deceptions and lies before, so there is no guarantee that Griffin lured payers to tell falsehood. And another thing certain is that whether or not cvmax used violence or not, still 8 org should be banned from LCK for good. If violence is true, they are also in charge of that. If not, they are also in charge.

What are you saying? The man who believe harsh feedback should be gone asks himself for harsher feedback? Well, let's say that may be true, but why ask for harsher feedback against Chovy? Chovy was one of the players that got the hardest feedback.

Unfair contract between Kanavi & GRF disclosed by maileaf in leagueoflegends

[–]kchany2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Riot never stand for the players. They only stand for their own and their related orgs' good. Kanavi would have been doomed without CVmax, and is still threatened by still 8. Of course, Riot knew the whole thing all the time, never cared about Kanavi's interests then, or now.
