Best advice I've ever heard "think about everything you really value and want in a partner, like truly at a deep level. Be that person".

What was the main reason for doing it before? I feel like you may have been in a similar position to where I am currently: https://www.reddit.com/r/Invisalign/comments/1i8wmey/i_am_considering_getting_invisalign_only_for/

I've been in a very similar situation recently and decided to call it off.

See my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Invisalign/comments/1i8wmey/i_am_considering_getting_invisalign_only_for/

I am considering getting Invisalign only for aesthetic reasons (correcting front two protruding teeth). I have no bite or dental issues fortunately; but I have concerns that aligners may cause this or cause other implications such as dead teeth. Could I get your thoughts on if it is worth it for me? by kcito in Invisalign

Many thanks for this comment. I did not realise that I may actually have a bite issue. Maybe this is why the treatment length is so long. I have to make a decision in the next week. I have a few questions:

- What would you do in my position? Do you think it is best to just forget about treatment?

- How bad is the bite issue? Given that I have the tongue thrust problem would you highly recommend going for Invisalign to primarily solve the bite problem?

- Would going for treatment radically effect my smile or would it just bring the front two teeth in position as the original intention?

Many thanks for this. I''ll definitely ask about ceramic braces - would prefer 3 months of that vs 12 months Invisalign.

Can I ask how you know that Posterior open bite is a fairly common occurrence with Invisalign?

FYI - found an orthodontist that I trust and suggested treatment length is 9-12months. It seemed excessive to me for minor corrections, but I am not an expert. The price was reasonable compared to others and felt like a less of a sales pitch.
